Asante gets a hatrick today, like was said many weeks ago he would play last game. Prove himself and maybe move on .who knows.
As for blaming him for our disappointment of a season it's not on , he was out struggling with an injury and the joker brought him in , the joker to blame only

Re: View from the Board/DJ
What stood out for me was that the board owned the mistakes and in that knowledge have taken the view we have learnt by our mistakes.and are rectifying to make sure we don't fall into the same again. That for me says an awful lot about where we go from here. Admitting that mistakes were made. And ow...

Re: FA Cup replays scrapped from R1 in 24/25
Big piece about this in the telegraph from Peterborough management. Saying that to change it. all EFL clubs and all other clubs need to write to Emirates who sponsor the cup .also saying players who came through the lower leagues and now earning in excess of 80,000 a week should help by doing the sa...

Re: Steve Watson - 2 year contract confirmed
This is the turning point for the club, fan engagement I think will be bigger , this gives a new prospective to the club. we now have to back the management duo so let's dig for a really good BTH ,a couple of really good signings and away we go.

Re: Once the dust settles...
The ground situation is difficult to assess due to various decisions made by the then owners of the land, new owners and it's a big knock back with the negotiations, All in all nobody's able to say anything positive as yet so better to say nothing I think, that way people won't be worrying about it....

It's what we do that counts, nobody is going to rollover the team have to fight for every last point available.

Re: Massive credit to Watson and the board
I think should we retain our NLN place we should look to get Matty young on a season long loan , I think he will benefit from playing in competitive league games at our level whilst still learning and obviously enjoying his game time . once NLN is secured I would like to think Steve Watson and Sunde...

Re: Darlington V Southport
We have to keep winning our own games to make sure we're safe, to many scenarios to guess.
Just win and it doesn't matter what others do.
The team are working for eachother to secure our NLN PLACE. .

I know he's a 4th/5th choice, just saying we need to. See something of him before the season ends ,if he's fit as it says he is , I appreciate that it's unlikely. However I believe Steve Watson knows best and leave it there.

4 cup finals I now think we need 2 wins and a draw at the very least.today was a linesmen who made a dreadful decision against us the poor refereeing was another factor how he book four Darlington players and not one of Chorley beggars belief.however Chorley took advantage of our poor defending.the ...

Re: Darlington V Chorley
Very tough game today but if the players leave it all on the pitch play like we know they can ,as they did against South shields and Scunthorpe a win should be possible.
I really looking forward to today's game we certainly can do this.com'on Darlo.need all players fit for the run in asante as well.

Re: Rushall v Darlington
Keep the faith lads we have to win more than rushall . it's doable, right up to 15th place only 4 points difference.some have to play eachother so it's in our own hands to stay in NLN Why are you focusing on Rushall? There are several teams who if their last 5/6 match form is poor enough, could go ...

For me the MOM was Cedric main he's a really good footballer holding the ball up well, tackling good winning the ball and some off his passes are sublime straight to a forward mostly finding their target.

Re: Blyth V Darlington
A lot saying Blyth were poor and we were the much better team, certainly didn't seem like that to me. We were very lucky to go in at half time in the lead, spent most of it chasing shadows. Second half we were better but it was still a very poor game, although not surprising given the lack of squad...

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
It was a bit of a surprise to see left-back Reece Staunton come on as a second half sub for Spenny given that he wasn't listed as a sub in their published team sheet before the game. Dan Myers had been getting absolutely roasted down that flank in the first half and they obviously had to stem the f...

Keeping the carrot dangling, I think we need win a minimum of 3 with 2 or 3 draws that will get us to 53 points, getting to be a very close call.

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?
That's exactly what Singh did kept the golden share. With out one you cannot play in the football perimid hence Darlington new owners had to ask for a new share which was granted with the previso that the name changes as there was already a share in the name of Darlington FC. So we became Darlington...
