Re: Omar Holness

Maybe he's gone to try to get a higher level club - I seem to remember he did similar last summer, then returned late in the summer

Wasn't the older one Jim and the younger one James? Or is it the other way round?

Re: Potential new signings

Where's James Montgomery at the moment? I'd be surprised to see him back at nln level, very good keeper.

There was an option on the survey accompanying the btb email offering the chance to roll your sum over - wonder whether that has helped get us off to a good start?

I'm a big fan of omar's, be very sorry to see him go. A good player, seems a really good guy too, and bought into what the club is about. Shame if true.

Re: Raj Singh

Their position with the stadium is a certainly to their benefit. The council's decision not to sell gets some flak at times, but it'll come off as very astute if it all goes tits up. I'm actually a bit surprised Singh is making these noises. I really thought he might have been stung by what happened...

Best xi

I am bored, so decided to put together a first xi of players, one signed or given their debut by each of our last eleven managers. I excluded kidd and gregan/Atkinson but included long-term caretakers like liddle. So I reckon it's between Armstrong, Wright, gray, liddle, Cooper, davey, Staunton, Tod...

I agree the league's are probably done and dusted - I wonder if the fa will allow the conclusion of the the fa vase and fa trophy though seeing as both competitions were at the semi final stage
If they do, you'd imagine they'll need to get rid of the two-legged semis

Agree with that assessment of rivers. Sometimes I'd like to see him push it past a defender and run.

The full back yesterday was very cumbersome, which rivers really enjoyed.

Re: Telford

Fantastic ball from laing for the second goal. He was very good at bringing the ball out to start attacks.

Yesterday was also the best I've seen rivers play, he was beating his man regularly, which is something I've been a little frustrated by in the past.

Re: Hereford

Not the worst game today, but not the best either. Really thought we'd thrown it away late on but then put together a good move to equalise. Their first was a fantastic goal from a a player who was in league one very recently, albeit coming back from a long term injury. We were a bit careless at tim...

Might just be me - but those kits all have a player that I can jus remember wearing it... 96/97 - Andy Crosby 97/98 - Mario Dorner 98/99 - Jesper Hjorth 99/00 - Richard Hodgson ...I get a bit of a blank here for some reason... 03/04 - Clark Keltie 04/05 - Clyde Wijnard 05/06 - Hutchinson (can't rem...

I'd imagine he's at the regular self-care phase by now, so it's fine. Also he's young, playing for a club a long way from where he lives, and is probably bored to tears by now. So I hope I speak for everyone when I say I hope he gets laid, then wins 50 grand, so long as he puts some of it into next ...

Also, we've repeatedly shown we can compete with full time teams in individual games. Taken over the course of a season we may not be able to maintain the standards we set in some of those, and we may be relegated again, but we wouldn't be embarrassed by any stretch. Of course we should aim to go up...

Play off race looks wide open doesn't it? Four points between 5th and 12th means it only takes one slip to drop out and be the ones playing catch up again.

Exciting to be part of the pack though, what a job Armstrong is doing in between childcare.

That perimeter fence might be a bit more secure if there was one single advertising board to bolster it. I've never seen a ground with so little advertising in it as I did looking at the highlights. Is their fantastic business model based on gaining no revenue whatsoever? It wouldn’t make any diffe...

Seemingly a perimeter fence collapsed because of overcrowding in the away end, in what is surely the most surprising incident of the day. There's footage on twitter, the whole thing looks farcical, and certainly not caused by unruly fans.

Well, strictly speaking it runs from 01 to 10,because there was no year zero, so the first decade AD went from 01 to 10, but in honesty it's a point only pursued if you're *really* pedantic and don't want to celebrate in line with 99% of the population.
