It will be back to square one if we get panned on Wednesday after this embarrassment ☹️
No, it won't be.

The money and interest from the cup run alone is a huge positive.

Not sure he would be eligible to play??

I believe there is a rule where a player must be registered to play for the first game to be allowed to play in the replay. May be able to get around it if has played in previous rounds?
Correct.

I think its a straight choice between Bromley v Bristol Rovers and our game.
If BBC and BT Sport both show a replay, we must be nailed on, surely?!

Re: Josh Heaton

We're not that Blyth team though. Just because it happened once for Armstrong doesn't make it a certainty it's going to happen again. And we don't have a Maguire. Blyth didn't have a Thompson or a Hatfield. We don’t have Jameson or Maguire. Sounds obvious, but Blyth had a goalkeeper that is probabl...

Re: Josh Heaton

Looks like AA was right to let him go. AA didn’t have a say in it given Heaton wasn’t under contract and orchestrated a move. This!! As wonderful as Heaton was in his first spell, Laing and Galbraith were playing well when he arrived on a non-contract deal to prove himself. AA explained that, at th...

Re: Josh Heaton

Cheers. He must have had something about him to play in the league. Yes, an ability to play right back. Something which he was never considered for at York and Darlo. I've suggested a few times that maybe, just maybe, we should give him a crack at right back, tell him this is the time to prove hims...

Re: Josh Heaton

It is a shame, but the one position we are overstocked in is centre backs, so it makes sense if we are freeing up budget to be used elsewhere more effectively.

No one is taking Burn and he is not going to walkaway from a lucrative contract.

We might not have gained the results we'd all like to see but there is no doubt we have a better squad, better morale, a clearer style of play and we look a much better team. We've been unfortunate that, arguably, our two best players, Trotman and Liddell, have been injured simultaneously, especiall...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Should the Neville brothers have been supporting their home town team rather than Salford? In their position, I would have been supporting DFC, not the area of a City I had been employed. I worked in Newcastle and would go to home games at St James, with financial clout available to them I would no...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Bury’s long term future will be defined by ownership of Gigg Lane.

If they keep hold of it, or lease it on reasonable terms, they’ll end up challenging in the Vanarama National. Without a decent ground, they’ll be no better off than us.

The bit that I can’t fathom is how much grace clubs get from HMRC. Most businesses would be finished by a huge tax bill much faster.

Today was frustrating, but we’ve had plenty of those in the past. Hitting the post three times and missing a penalty - on another day you win that comfortably.

Re: Bradford PA...

One of the issues for me is since we lost Trottman and Liddle we have lost the use of the fullback bombing forward and linking up with Thommo and Rivers. Atkinson is obviously not fit and doesn't to appear into that mold so like Armstrong said a couple of weeks ago he will have to utilize the loan ...

Re: Bradford PA...

We tried to play the right way but lacked a final ball. Today, that was the difference between a comfortable win and the end result. We tended to run with the ball a little more than necessary rather than let it do the work, especially in today’s heat.

Hatfield was superb.

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Sole responsibility lies with the owners of each club. Bury fans weren’t complaining when they were spending big, living beyond their means and enjoying success. They weren’t but at the same time - so what if they did it wouldn’t really make a blind bit of difference to the outcome. It feels a bit ...

Going down this year, me thinks. Looking at social media, the fans are turning on Clark already. Squad is completely unprepared to play at this level. The council love Mowden and have never done fuck all for DFC. I expect that to continue for ever more. Individual errors have hurt us despite otherwise credible performances.

However, we’ve almost entirely refreshed the squad during pre-season and they’ve had very little time together.

The lads just need time to gel.

We’re now doing season tickets where you can pay £20 a month (adult standing) so you don’t even have to shell out a lump sum! I think it would be a wise decision. The players have shown in the first two games that when the click and up the tempo they can be really good. The longer they play togethe...

From what I’ve seen we’re crying out for Atkinson in midfield. Holness and Bascome aren’t the answer in there and Wheatley will take some time to find his feet I suspect. Watson at LB and Liddle at RB for me athiiygh Alun had that option last night but went for 3 at the back so maybe that’s his pre...
