Re: Darlo V Scunthorpe
I know Scunny fans were less than impressed but I thought they were a class above anyone we've played this season which makes our performance and the result even more pleasing. They moved the ball quickly and we were constantly stretched but we managed to deal with everything that came into the box....

Re: Nice bit of trivia
I'll have a go:
The 8-0 shafting by Chorley 14/11/23:
Taylor, Rowe, Hedley, Rivers, Burton, Lawlor, Ngandu, Hatfield, Lindley, Nelson, Salkeld.
Moke did come on who is Portuguese according to Wikipedia. Also, it says Barrow is Welsh.

Re: Curzon V Darlington
We still need to try more shots from outside the box as Will showed us the way. Particularly when the opposition keeper is playing on one leg. Don't think I've ever seen a keeper having to carry on when they are as hampered as that by injury. He looked to be in agony. Their keeper could barely stan...

Re: South Shields v Darlo
Looking at the match highlights there was a case for a third sending off when one of their players in a fit of pique at seeing Curry score the fourth goal deliberately barged into him sending him to the ground. Think Curry just ran into him to be fair and the weight mismatch meant Curry bounced off...

Re: Who next?
He has already divided the fans. The club is now in the position that if it turns him down and we do get relegated the loud-mouths will round on DJ big style. MG knows this and is trying to use it for his own ends. He is a manipulator.

Re: Who next?
Typical classless MG. He could just offer his services to DJ in private, but no, goes to the Northern Echo knowing that some fans that make their mouths go the loudest will back him and pressure DJ to take him on. Very Donald Trump / Boris Johnson.

What matters now is the 2 home games next week against Warrington and Rushall. I still think 4 points from those 2 games would be reasonable, and would mean 10 points gained from 6 league games. If we achieve that it will be a big improvement on the form earlier in the season. Tbf Gowling has alrea...

Re: What is going on at DFC? Media Manager edition.
“He has been an ever-present in the Darlington team ever since, but hasn’t scored yet”. If we bypass how poor the sentence reads, more alarmingly is the reference to our GK not scoring yet. You can form your own opinion, but I quite like Tommy using his hands and not trying to hit it on the volley ...

It is titled Boston v Darlington, implying we are away. It's a small thing but it irritates the hell out of me. So, so easy to get that right.

Re: Darlington V Bradford PA
What the hell Armstrong saw in Howe totally baffles me .The lad is way,way out of his depth at this level. As said above, even Mondal would be an improvement. You've got to be impressed how he managed to cram in so much poor quality play into a short sub appearance. Probably outdid Hedley and Moke an...

It's on YouTube somewhere, I've seen it recently. I have a feeling it was in amongst a long video with many match highlights shown. I'll keep wracking my brain to remember how I stumbled on it, must have been searching for something else.

Defending was Sunday league at times but I thought second half we were pretty good with the ball. It was a very tense atmosphere because of fan frustration but the players were patient and stuck to their plan. Chances were created and missed but got there in the end and it was deserved.

It's not a requirement to be better than someone in order to give them constructive criticism. Football fans are very keen to criticise players and managers when obviously they couldn't do better themselves but that doesn't render their criticism irrelevant.

On the Glenn Naylor penalty incident, it did look like a dive but Martin Holllund actually says he touched him (could still be a dive of course).

Mark Dobie January 1993 vs Bolton in the (Autoglass) Trophy. Volley from the edge of the box placed into the top corner with the laces in front of the tin shed. Took it to 3-3 and extra time I think. We lost 4-3 of course.

Re: Darlo’s worst XI
I think Drewe played for free. If so we need to give him the benefit of the doubt - also he was playing in a poor team, which doesn't make things any easier. Can't remember the specifics but weren't we beyond the player registration deadline so all our signings needed special dispensation. Broughto...

There's no contest for the striking role, Mor Diop, he looked like he'd never heard of football before, never mind played it. Special mention for Drewe Broughton, although to be fair, he wasn't exactly in his prime. In fact he'd retired some time earlier and only came to us because the Conference wo...

If we were liquidated, what the f**k were we doing paying players that were owed from 2011/12 and also having Phil Gray as a contracted professional at the start of 2012/13? The only debts that Darlington FC didn't settle were to Raj Singh and for exiting administration without satisfying all credit...
