Re: Omar Daley (Possibly) Spotted

Are you sure it wasn't just Aaron Brown? He looks a tiny bit like Omar Daley if you squint your eyes really hard. And stand on your head. And are an idiot.

Re: All them people who's tickets "didnt turn up"

My tickets still haven't shown up but yeah, I made it after getting duplicates at the ticket window. Wasn't actually given the same seats as promised (wanted Block 112, got Block 105) but it kept me out of the way of the smoke bomb or flare or whatever it was so no complaints. And don't mistake 'she...

Re: Some nice photos that encapsulate the day

I'd buy a couple of those right now if I could, but think they're restricted to the press for the time being. Love how the players managed to sneak Tommo into the shot (3rd picture) as well as letting him have a run around with the trophy. A loyal servant to the club for years & deserves it as much ...

Re: Any pictures or videos of game / goal yet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDJD0ulkBNE This'll have to do you for now - s***, long-distance video of the lads celebrating with champagne on the pitch. Also have a s*** long-distance video of Miller lifting the trophy but it's all upside-down & s***, and I can't be arsed pissing about with that ...

Re: Fight Darlo v Mansfield Leicester Forest

Think there was some trouble near the ground too - on the walk back down Wembley Way there was a bloke who'd had his shirt ripped to shreds & his face was absolutely caked in blood. Could be unrelated, but not pretty. Shame really, no place for that s*** at all.

Re: still no tickets

Well, finally got it sorted so turns out I will be able to sleep tonight. For anyone who's still having issues (although knowing my luck it's probably just me), choose Option 8 on the automated system & just let the phone ring for around 10 minutes (no exaggeration) & someone'll pick up. Crisis aver...

Re: still no tickets

Keep trying to phone mate, when mine had not turned up earlier today they took my details and said I would get a call back after 5 even anytime up to 9 so someone will be there. Failing that go down there, if someone is security will be about. Hard to get there from Stoke-on-Trent :( Gave my detail...

Re: still no tickets

My ticket STILL hasn't arrived, kind of expected seeing as I ordered online & even though they saw fit to take my money, I was never sent a confirmation e-mail of any sort - club said they'd sort it though, been trying to call since 4pm this afternoon and no fucker's answered. Just get an automated ...

Re: Your first ever away game following darlo?

First was as a 14-year-old at the 3-2 win over Poolie in the 98/99 season. Witnessed from the Mill House stand becuase the Mackem friends I brought along couldn't get tickets for the Darlo end. Having to sit on my hands & pretend like I wasn't happy when the whistle blew was hard, even worse was try...

Re: Match Atmosphere

its really improving as this run goes on, first half was a lil quiet less their fans who seemed pretty buoyant but second half the lads behind the town end goal really got into it and all along the South Stand joined in by full time the place was buzzing. The players have started holding back longe...

Re: Brough interview in Gazette, and Werling

“I had a few clubs wanting to sign me, but I didn’t want to go where I could chill out with a club that was happy at Blue Square level. With the facilities at Darlington they can’t stay in the Blue Square.” “There were a few clubs in this league interested in signing me, but I didn’t have to think ...

Re: Cooper interested in 3 from Peterborough

Hmm, an interesting bunch...... Geohaghan: - Quite fancy seeing him in a Darlo shirt - may not be rated by Peterborough fans, but proven at non-league level, imposing physical presence (6'7" - the man's a beast!), and would seemingly fit in perfectly with Cooper's style of play. Our chances of signi...

Re: Your Lasting Memories of the Last 20 Years

Subhuman84- Yes of course it was ex darlo player Brian Henderson I'd forgot that! I also think Tony Roberts gives Ingham close run for funniest away keeper! There's been a fair few over the years - the Southport (or was it Sudbury?) keeper in the incredibly effeminate pink get-up, Andy Dibble, Alan...

Re: Your Lasting Memories of the Last 20 Years

Some auld fella slipping but still hitting the bar at half time when they used to do that 3 shots to win a car competition Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that was in fact the late Brian Henderson? For content: - - My first game, home to Bury on the last day of the 93/94 season - 1-0 win, Be...

Thoughts on the Vale game

Hello all, Just got back from the match (only live round the corner) - all I can say is I'm glad I didn't have to travel far, feel sorry for the 120 or so Darlo who did  Today was my first look at this season's side, all I've had to go off bar today's performance is commentary & other people's ...

Re: Who's going tomorrow?

I'll be attending my 1st game of the season tomorrow (1st game in about 2 years actually but I'll not go into that) - be travelling on foot seeing as I only live about a mile away from the ground :) Hopefully I can get to see our first 3 points of the season but not holding my breath - reckon a goal...
