Re: Season VOIDED

You can guarantee that any fines owed to the FA will still be expected to be paid, even if the games they were relating to are voided. Can of worms is an understatement. Even on here we all have different opinions so imagine what thats like over every club in the pyramid, especially with clubs that ...

Re: Season VOIDED

I'm not sure I can give this a serious answer? One has been enacted by the government, after pushing appropriate laws through parliament, the other would be enacted by a private company!? They can void a season because that is in their jurisdiction to do...they provide the permission to play footba...

Re: Season VOIDED

Best example as this would affect us. Simon Ainge. Per your suggestion we would have to extend his contract beyond April...and his loan deal at Boston? Or would we be allowed to not extend it and whilst he might be registered to Boston they would need to arrange an entirely new contract with him to...

Nobody said anything about different squads. The FA have the power to stop any sort of transfer. Contracts can resume when the season restarts.

Re: Season VOIDED

Those who say this season should be voided have not come up with a sensible suggestion should this problem last into, or reoccur next season. To suggest just playing each other once is just plain bonkers. As has been shown already, large amounts of money have been spent by teams at all levels to ge...

Like I said it is going to affect next season. So why have two seasons screwed up? Finish this one when possible then decide when to start the next season, even if that is next year.

Re: Season VOIDED

No integrity for steps 3-6 though is there? Exactly. Why are people so desperate to get next season started on time? Get this season finished first. The FA have the power to make sure this happens so why not do that. Next season is likely to be disrupted too so what will we do then? Void another se...

Re: Season VOIDED

The problem is without evidence then these things are one person's word against another. If they didn't back the referees then you wouldn't be playing anyway. I think about 30% of amateur football is called of because of referee shortages and the average time that a referee is active now is 2 years...

Re: Season VOIDED

Got to ask the question What did you do loan_star to have to attend an FA Disciplinary hearing? PS There is a good argument for saying the hearings are a kangaroo court ( and breach principles of natural justice) as the FA is Prosecutor, judge and jury or if not, they appoint the people to those po...

Re: Season VOIDED

Basically the FA Council can decide to promote and relegate whoever they want, whenever they want within the National League System. At their discretion from time to time. Just watched "The English Game" where FA board consisted mainly of Old Etonians & seems like the FA rulebook still allows them ...

From what I gather these were seasonal jobs anyway and they are let go during the close season. Singh has merely brought that forward. As much as I hate the bloke I don't think he has done anything wrong here.

Re: Season VOIDED

Considering next season could well be affected too then its my view that this season should be concluded properly when appropriate. The FA, if they have the power to void things, also have the power to ban all transfers of players between clubs until the season is concluded, even if the contracts ar...

Eddie-rowles, you look at the situation through a "fan's eyes". You may want to do everything to save your club as would most fans The footballers are employees, not fans. They act as employees. Have you as an employee given your salary back to your employer? No? Then why should the employees of an...

Re: Darlington V Farsley

lo, I'm not picking a fight here, I must be getting different info to you. To me you simply can not do a points per game ratio. Look at our league, how the teams like Kings Lynn have recently slumped and conversely how Bradford's form has picked up. You can't relegate and promote on guesswork - how...

Agree Holness should be in our starting line-up. There wasn't too much wrong with our midfield trio of Hatfield, Wheatley and Holness earlier in the season, was there? Except we had O'Neill up front. We haven't got anyone to fill that role now. Campbell needs a big lad up there to bring the best ou...

Re: Hereford

Personally I prefer team players. After Styche got his call up for Gibraltar (whilst playing for us) it all went downhill. Loss of form - slagged off from the Tinshed, then numerous transfers downwards. I think he sees himself as top dog but to be top dog you need to be Gabbiadini standard - which ...

You sometimes wonder whether they would be better placed selling the land to developers and using proceeds to build themselves something elsewhere in the town away from danger.
And what would the developers develop on land that is regularly underwater? A open air swimming pool maybe?

Re: Spennymoor game off

A referee is obliged to consider the safety of the players when making his decision. As has been pointed out there isn't a lot of space between the edge of the pitch and the perimeter fence. Had a player done a slide tackle in the soggy area he could well have slid into the fence and got injured. Th...

Try Fizzer on Whessoe Road for the cabin, he does summerhouses etc with electrics so would probably be right up his street.
