Re: Small clubs in the north west

Deep down I was always a little uneasy about Reynolds pumping in huge amounts of money to build that first really good play off team. It was an enjoyable season, but we paid for it in the long run, and to repeat myself - I much prefer our present status. The problems at Bury should be a reminder to ...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

Quote from Phil Neville from the BBC's news website.... "Bury-born Neville's mother Jill last week resigned as club secretary; his late father Neville was a director. "Common sense has to prevail," said ex-Manchester United defender Neville. "One man cannot stop one football club, which has hundreds...

SPOT ON LO. I like our fan ownership model. All being well we should never again be at the whim of any dodgy "business" person, and if that means staying in this league for another decade then so be it. To all those who who considered Rajed Strings getting involved with Darlo again I say give your h...

II have a problem with it if it goes too far. For example away at Lancaster a few years back when the grass was ridiculously too long, and was left this way on purpose. This was such an obvious tactic and should have (and could have) been sorted out before kick off. Whilst I see what dfc4me is getti...

the yellow card he gave Donawa was a poor decision.

We had a good view of this. It was clearly a foul/yellow card.

Re: Darlington V Southport

You can see how they won at Farsley midweek. If the ball is in the air all the time then the pitch condition isn’t a problem. The teams that will win at Farsley will be the ones that play hoof ball. Maybe it is time we had some kind of regulation regarding pitch quality rather than just the ref dec...

To be fair they have played all their games away so far. Will probably be different when they are in front of their own massive crowd to roar them on to a march up the league.

You have a point. Some of it could well be perception. Perception though is important. - Did Bishop let us keep all the bar sales? No they kept 100%, Rugby Club give us a proportion -- I'm not sure this is correct, I thought we had some kind of deal re bar sales at Heritage Park. - Did Bishop let us...

Dont think they had a shot at goal
Our goalie made a great save at about 30 mins. A hard low shot that was dealt with brilliantly - this, to me was a key moment in the game.

I honestly don't know what is happening with the place. Toilets out of order, tv not working, no card machine, ice machine broken. Btw did anyone get the 50-50 number tonight, I can't remember hearing it called out, which is remarkable given that the PA was certainly loud. Mind you, given the number of times they got players numbers wrong in the substitutions, I'm not sure I would have believed any number they quoted. It did l...

I noticed Cartman fell foul of the new, improved law re substitutions. When it was time for him to come off, he’d already purposefully drifted over to the far side of the pitch then reluctantly started his tired slow walk over to the dugouts. Meanwhile, after goading from Darlo fans, the far side li...

Laing's 'clearance for the first is shocking - he had all the time in the world and although there's a chance the pitch had an impact on how he struck the ball, from the camera angle it's unclear who he's trying to reach with that ball.

Guisely, Farsley - not much difference really. Two clubs sitting on the outskirts of Leeds who have a nucleus of beast like players, employ time wasting tactics and play a primitive style of anti football. I'm not complaining about this, they can play how they choose, it's for us to work out a way o...

An interesting programme has turned up on BBC iPlayer. Don’t get me wrong Les. I haven’t got a bee in my bonnet about it, it really doesn’t bother me as the club should make things pay, but personally, I wouldn’t consider hospitality unless it was for a cup game with match ticket included - otherwise it’s too expensive.

Have I missed something, if are just a walk in it’s £30, if you are a season ticket holder it’s £25, what’s wrong with that? What’s wrong it is quite simple. A season ticket holder has already paid for the football match, so £25 is for the cost of the food only. While the charge for the food for a ...
