I Like this years kit when wearing it. I don’t like it on the players. It looks washed out.
Best away kit for men is between last seasons Dennis the menace kit, and the 04-05 all black kit. Both epic.

Re: Spennymoor Away
Interesting to see the pics online of the match. Plenty taken in The first half (including the one when Chandler is upside down) which clearly shows there was not enough space for the fans down the far side, for the fans placed behind the goal. Tezza’s comments sum it up. We’re just glad no one was ...

FYI, there is engineering works at Leeds on Saturday night. It won't impact most as it's only from later on. But if you were intending on getting one of the last trains home...it'll be a bus!

To clarify, if this was the league, or the FA Cup/Trophy, it would be massive. This is however, of no importance whatsoever.

Can't get excited about it. We'll have to have segregation and police because there's bound to be some numpties who see this as an opportunity to square up. We'll end up losing money on this game.

Any news on these new loanees?
For me, these acquisitions are key. If it's a flimsy playmaking midfielder then it adds nothing. We need a no nonsense beast, who's going to break up play and generally be a menace.

Re: Forced Promotion
Historically, I believe that there was only one Northern League division, so what harm would there be in reducing that as other teams rightfully find a natural position further up. We know the likes of Whitley Bay/Bish and probably Ashington could play further up. Durham too if they could sort thems...

Re: An overlooked topic from the Southport game
The back of the shirt was white on Saturday as well which it isn't normally. I vote to make this change permanent. Yes it is. It was only the waist down that was different. Had the sleeves on this season's kit been white, it would have balanced the kit far better with the black shorts. As it is, th...

Re: Southport v Darlington
It's felt like a long week this week but tomorrow is the day the squad get to show whether the performance and result v Telford was the new benchmark or just a flash in the pan. It would be a welcome sight before our tough FA cup fixture at home to BPA to put some more point on the board and string...

Re: Josh Heaton looks like he is on his way
People have been going on about Vaulks at Whitby. What chance of getting Heaton back on loan? He wasn't even on the bench at the weekend. Would be better for St Mirren to have him here than sending him to somewhere like Albion R or Cowdenbeath. It's no further from Paisley in journey time than it is...

Re: Vaulks on loan to Whitby
Has anyone considered that he might not be good enough yet? If he's not getting into the Whitby team, what makes him more suited to play in the division above?
He has looked alright when we have seen him, but those glimpses have been sporadic. We don't know what he's like in training and so on.

Re: Ashton United on Monday
For the good of the team I’d keep Ainge at the back. At least for the time being. He bossed that second half. And yes we got ripped to pieces. But the issue isn’t the centre halves Trotman is not, nor ever will be a right back in my eyes. Great going forward. And has a relationship with Thommo. But ...

Re: Vaulks on loan to Whitby
I think this is a positive move. Giving him some proper game time at a decent level. I’ve been impressed in what I’ve seen so far. But he’s still very young. I fully expect him to be a mainstay at centre half next season. And then to move up the leagues not long after that. But he needs time. Vaulks...

I thoroughly enjouyed the day. There was a great vibe, and not even the weather stopped the fun. It was good to see some famous faces, and some much loved ones from the past. I'd take him back (on an acceptable wage). He's a very experienced players who we know is more than capable of playing at this level. That experience is something we're lacking in the squad presently. He's also no soft touch. We need a bit more grit at the back. Plus we know he can score goals with ...

The other 30,000 seats would make the ground eligible. So these temporary seats would be permissive.

I made many comments prior to the ground being developed about more financially efficient designs taking a long term view, including moving the pitch away from the club house and building deeper stands (both seated and terrace) to ease future developments but we have what we have. Increasing the ti...

Re: Temp Seats at HP
Some sensible and reasoned discussion here. With most viewing that the seats aren’t worth the investment. My understanding is that the seats could be made permanent. However, the bigger picture is what would hamper this. And it’s that same picture that would hamper a small terrace being built. To ge...

Where has this Danny Johnson rumour come from??? I would be very surprised if we're even in the running. He's looking to remain full time (from what I've understand). Salford enquired a couple of months back. And I believe York have shown interest too. I expect he'll find another conference club.

Yes. If North Ferriby do fold (sadly), then the team that finishes third bottom would be reprieved. This makes Tamworth v Gainsborough on the last day, potentially a very important game.

Considerably shorter distance from Kings Lynn to darlington, or even Blyth than it is to Truro. Not saying it’s easy. But it’s got to be fair on both sides.
Agree on Gloucester though.

I wonder what odds we’d get on finishing above York. Ridiculous long ones I’d expect. But I’d fancy it if we’d have a couple more matches. York can get 66, Blyth 68. Can’t see either of them getting there. Agree that the existing 7 will be looking upwards beyond The end of the month. We have already...

... Agreed, valid points. It's never great to lose your players, and it's a risk. But the bottom line must always be the winner if we're going to evade the buckets again. The fact that these lads have been noticed is directly linked to our improvement. If they weren't putting in the performances, t...

We become eligible for more matched funding when we get promoted. Obviously we need to fundraise but we will get the club we pay for. £150k match funded if promoted within the next 4 seasons. But this has to cover more than just increasing the terraced capacity, as floodlights and turnstiles and al...

Not just West Park/Faverdale in Darlington. New estate at Skerne Park also has the pipe running through it. A good developer will make it a feature of the estate, turning it into a residential greenway. Which will push the prices of the houses up further.
