I believe \---dfc---/ james is barking up the right tree. Could be one or two outgoings as well from what I've heard.

Re: Should the trust hand over the 50k?

Yes. When I donated to the collection, it was to help save Darlington Football Club, not for the formation of some other club. If the worst comes to the worst, they can do some more fundraising and will, I'm sure, raise another £50,000 to help start a phoenix club. If there is a chance that this £50...

You're allowed up to three 'over-age' players in an Academy league game, and probably even more in a friendly. Obviously you don't stick 28-year-olds in an under-18 game but it's common for 19 and occasionally 20-year-old players to play for the under-18s.

Pretty sure it'll be Kelvin Jack that he's referring to.

True fact! He played in Aspin's Port Vale testimonial shortly before he signed for Darlo. I'm hoping Robbie Williams will buy the shirt off me!

I think I can play but still building my fitness up. May have to pull out nearer the time though depending on travel arrangements for Chelsea v NUFC on Sunday, but hopefully not.

First of all, well done to all who went to Worldnet, sounds like we put up a decent show and were unlucky to lose to the eventual winners... again. I am hereby announcing that from now on I will not be organising any UFC fixtures. For anyone who's not aware I am now working at Newcastle United with ...

Re: MARTIN GRAY IN LOCAL HEROES

Corey Barnes is a hell of a player, whenever I've seen him for the youth team he's been head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch. He suffered last year for Staunton sticking him in at full-back when he's a central midfielder, but I think he can break through next season and show his quality.

Didn't really rate Milne at all to be honest, although he was played out of position. Must be better out there though.

Re: Slowest Darlo player you've ever seen

Brightwell was definitely the slowest I've ever seen. He had these big long legs but they never got him anywhere. Believe it or not, his parents were both Olympic runners!

Kevin Scott runs him close mind, and Paul Beavers is another that springs to mind.

Re: Evan Horwood- on trial at Pools-info please

He had a cracking debut down at Hereford, where he really looked the business in defence and going forward then I think he got injured in the next game and was never the same after that. Also picked up a red card in the last home game of that season, a 5-0 defeat to Stockport. In short, he wasn't up...

Re: Kidd's gone

It would be a daft thing to resign over if it really is over that statement, and hopefully Raj can talk him around. But I still wonder if there is more to it, because the club can't be very confident of him staying if they're already sounding out replacements!

Re: Kidd's gone

We certainly can't afford to wait around for a new manager. We need one as soon as possible, so it makes sense to make contingency plans now. I've heard mixed things about Gray. Generally it seems to be a case of if he likes you, you get on with him and if he doesn't rate you, you don't. That's not ...

Fordy has been in the game a long, long time with Boro before us. Surely he would know if these weren't worth the paper they were written on when he was interviewed that time if that was the case? I thought within a month of your contract ending you could sign a contract from the date your contract...
