Re: Support package announced

30K per month for as long as we're behind closed doors should more or less cover it. I'm hopeful that 30k a month is roughly the figure we were hoping for to balance the books. That feels about right on the face of it. Could be a £10k deficit if we get it for eight months but a bit of progress in t...

Re: Support package announced

Wasn't there something announced a few days ago about the National Lottery putting some money into the National League? Wonder how that fits in with this - is it included in this package or some additional money? That is this package. The funding for the next three months is coming from the Nationa...

Re: Support package announced

If all confirmed then £30k per month seems reasonable for us. Not sure how some teams with smaller attendances get the same as teams with higher etc. generally but you get what you are given and get on with it I guess. If I am honest without really looking at all numbers and how long this goes on f...

Re: Support package announced

If it is based on attendances last season the top 5 would be York Hereford Chester Dulwich Hamlet Maidstone United We would be 6th but tbf Kidderminster, Fylde and Havant & Waterlooville were reasonably similar to us. The gap between us and Maidstone is reasonably bigger than our gap to the others a...

Re: Support package announced

Yep that is based on the clubs in NLN/S last season and doesn't include those who were NLP last season. I have a feeling they may get first dibs. I really thought they would just take the total average attendance. Work out a £/person on the total pot and then apportion accordingly. Never mind shame ...

5 clubs in NLN/South getting £36k only just covers the teams relegated from NL Prem plus one other.

Re: Erico Sousa

You could be right, but then again it wouldn’t surprise me if he isn’t contracted to Tadcaster. The fact that he is training with us with a view to sign may just indicate he isn’t contracted and just 7-days notice is required. We will see. I agree looking at his history I would actually be slightly...

If he is lucky that we asked him to help us out by the same token we are lucky that he was available to and agreed.

Guess both parties were simply "lucky"

Re: Holness returns

So yes he was lucky to get a second opportunity whether he is proficient or not. I doubt very much if we had not had the injuries he would have gotten the chance. He's lucky if playing for us is the pinnacle of his ambition, which we know it isn't. I could understand calling it luck if he contacted...

He is lucky that we happen to have a batch of injuries, so he has a second opportunity to prove his ability by playing & putting himself in the shop window.
He is not lucky.

When did it become luck to be asked to do a job when you are proven to be proficient at that job.

It's the suggestion that he is the one that is lucky.

It is obviously a good outcome for both parties but we are equally as lucky that he was available.

Playing 2 games a week may come as a bit of a shock to our players once the season gets really started
When exactly do you expect that to be. At least 20% of league games are being postponed at the moment and we have only just started entering into enhanced measures.

https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss/status/1316720962168139776?s=19 Remember to be careful what you wish for. London FA have taken capacity down to 15% this corresponds with what Northumbria have done. They are only in tier 1. If the north west did similar (given potential tier 3 situation) Bury AFC a...

On the plus side, saw Bury Town won again  You've lost me, jjljks. Why is that good? Sorry, my mistaken assumption it was the new phoenix Bury AFC club as they had already played 2 rounds. Still, not a bad run for a little club. Even for Tadcaster, this was the first time they got this far. A...

Not likely to be such an issue now people are not allowed to mix in pubs. Apart from hardcore drinkers can’t see many people bothering to go to the pub if they can’t socialise with friends. Yet another major blow to the hospitality industry. The thing that has bugged me, for a while. Whilst the rul...

They got beat comfortably by Marine at the weekend and have otherwise won one league game (drawn two).

Have to approach it in the right way but should comfortably win if we perform.

Liverpool & Manchester United's plan to reduce the Premier League by 2 & redistribute TV cash to the pyramid is a step in the right direction. Knee jerk reaction or reality? If we can’t play better than that without Hatfield then we have got problems, Reid and Hedley are really struggling in midfield at this level. I have no idea if we can or not. Certainly don't think there is sufficient evidence to say we can't. Reid and Hedley it sound...

Curzon have signed a number of decent players recently and should be stronger than last season so no pushovers. Having seen them in preseason they were awful and were knocked out of FA Cup at home to a team in the division below. I don't expect them to be a pushover but equally it is a game where I...

Not sure we are quite at the s...
