Main has scored both our goals, so he should go on holiday more often.

It's going to be a big 45 minutes in the second half.

If only we’d brought back Martin Gray, like the Facebook cognoscenti demanded. I imagine we’d be in play off contention now.

I also have a copy but have no memory of how/where I bought it.
It’s great to have a photographic document of times gone by. Feethams seems like another world now. The memories (and smells) of playing there are fading in my aging brain.

Re: Football Regulator
There are a lot of grand words in the announcement, but it remains to be seen whether the regulator will have teeth. Football clubs at the top level tend to be impervious to regulation, have all the power and money, and will, I imagine, continue to act in the same way. It’s a welcome move in the rig...

I think Moke can do a job for us until the end of the season. In some ways having him back is like having a new signing.

Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
This “rivalry” talk is embarrassing. There are adult Darlington fans who have never seen a meaningful competitive game against Hartlepool, but have seen many against Spennymoor. It’s all relative. You can choose to live in the past, or the present. Whilst historically Hartlepool were our rivals, our...

Thanks. The decision there was a 2 point deduction suspended on the basis that there wasn’t another breach in the 21/22 season. That would mean it’s gone, unless we have another one that we don’t know about.

Points deduction
I see from Facebook that we have a suspended points deduction. I must have missed/ forgotten about this. What was it for? And will last night’s flare incident impact have an impact?

Who are you, and what is your agenda?
You’ve named yourself after the founder of the Northern League, so my suspicion is that you aren’t a Darlington fan, and could even be Spen.

Re: Darlington v Banbury 2/03/24
Very pleased with that result. Banbury weren't the worst team we've seen this season- they upped their game in the second half and caused us a few problems. Under previous managers we would have lost that game, but there is a different feeling about the team now. Platt earned his MoM today. There wa...

I thought I had a groin strain. Had a few scans, saw several people about it, was told it was a variety of things. Turned out to be a stress fracture of the pubic bone.
Didn't stop me playing though.
(It did, for about 8 months).

Re: Away Shirt Vote
I've just realised that, despite my reactionary bluster, I don't really care enough about any of the selections (home and away) to cast a positive vote. Perhaps I will be tactical voting from now on (don't let the monstrosity win). Maybe I'm not the intended audience, being a sartorial dinosaur. I j...

It’s also interesting to note that half of the worst team in the league’s 4 wins were against Darlington - gifts from our previous 2 managers.

Re: The Bottom Seven, Tuesday Feb 27th 2024
I’m still not convinced we’ll stay up. We have the worst goal difference by some margin, and the teams we're chasing (Except kings Lynn who seemed to have turned a corner themselves) have a game or two in hand.
Mind you, if we beat Banbury on Saturday I might start getting a little more optimistic…..

Re: South Shields v Darlo
Rushall have taken an interesting approach to this by pretty much ignoring it completely and not making any reference to it whatsoever as if it didn't happen. Wonder what became of Marcus Maddison? Didn't he say he wanted to become a tattoo artist or something? Unless he has been released after 25%...

Re: South Shields v Darlo
;) Shields down to 10 men after 10 minutes. We never seen to take advantage of these situations, but we really must today. Yes, we might get a point - sorry to be sarcastic but a team that doesn't score won't win any games. And a side that doesn't score but gives away silly goals will lose no matter...

Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24
I see that some on social media are blaming the "snowflake world" for someone being chucked out for using those words. Whilst context is important as to whether something is racially-intended, it beggars belief that a) people want to excuse the use of pejorative slurs aimed at others doing their job...
