Re: Curzon Ashton v Darlo

Played some good football in first 30 mins and were better team and should have scored but our finishing needs to be a little more clinical or luck. They came in it after that and more even game, when they scored it seemed like heads went down a bit another easy goal, we replied with a well worked ...

Seems to have made an excellent first impression - scored from 40 yards (did he ever do that for us?) https://twitter.com/StratfordTownFC/status/1160212376693682179 How many Leagues below NLN are they? Any other exiles on the 12:19 from Manchester Victoria tomorrow or just me? 😂 An hour earlier from Picc I am aiming for the 10:58 from Victoria direct to New Pudsey. Station master at my local station tells me it takes the scenic route. "Station Master".....that's a throw back is it a steam train!

Re: James Caton

I don't wish him any ill will either, but he'll get a lot further in life and probably come across as a lot less bitter if he accepts his own role in how his career is panning out, rather than just blaming it all on other people. That interview paints him as very arrogant and lacking in self-awaren...

bag,not being funny, your right you aren't, I know the hours that this guy puts into getting these commercial contracts over the line ,he's been a massive addition to the club and will do whatever he can to attract ever more sponsors ,as he Graig Morley is Darlington through and through. Re: Teesside International Airport teams up with Darlington FC

Morley has looked a shrewd addition off the field and must have covered his salary several times over in the last year. Not being funny but you can't really know that can you as we don't know whether some of the deals he has struck earn the club a couple of thousand quid or £20,000 quid. Truth will...

Re: Four signings confirmed

Donawa, Heaton, Bell and Omar all signed up, we’re just awaiting international and FA clearance. Well done Alun! Excellent pre season recruitment that has left us with a solid 20 man squad on a lower budget than TW’s! And Glover gone left by mutual consent. Shame that TW and AW could not dev...

I think if we'd sorted Burn and Glover to move on it would make this easier. I've not seen anything about them for a while.
I don't see how we can sign Heaton with Burn still on the payroll unless we use some of Boris Johnson's magic money tree?

Re: Josh Heaton

Harrogate have just allowed a centre half to leave and it doesn't seem like they are keen on Heaton so I don't see him ending up anywhere else. If he does sign it will give AA a selection headache as he seems to have penciled in Laing as his 1st choice centre back. It's been a long time since we've...

Re: Released players

Obviously a cover story. I never did quite get the "love in" some fans had with Liam Hughes. The club did the right thing in supporting him last year when he had issues, and so did the fans, however I don't think he repaid any of that support by leaving us soon after returning to the team citing th...

Re: Josh Heaton

very harsh article on the BBC sport website about him - Stubbs got sacked very early on before Heaton got a chance in the first team, and then the new manager didn't fancy him so he never got a look in. I am surprised he hasn't came back as he is still young enough to get another shot, not doubt hi...

As above, due to their pitch not being ready.
They share with Halifax RLFC don't they so if in doubt blame the Rugby Club, sound familiar? Probably doing some much needed maintenance as Rugby Club not due to play their next League game there till 4th August.

I don't agree with personally attacking him, tbh. The guy is entitled to the money we promised him in a contract. The guys at this level aren't rich. They have livelihoods, and probably less job security than a lot of others. I don't know if Ainge has another job on the side, but football is a shor...

I hope this doesn't tempt fate but a Harrogate fan wrote this when TW bought him: "Gone to Darlington for a fee. Was great for us until his injury last season.
