Re: Season VOIDED

Was going to say what is the point suing the league they had no say in the matter. FWIW the FA handbook (http://www.thefa.com/-/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/rules-of-the-association/2019-20/fa-handbook-2019---revised.ashx) has two clauses in it. One states that the playing season must be...

Re: Season VOIDED

No derby with South Shields next season then. But derbies with Blyth & York, which is great. I'd imagine Kings Lynn will feel gutted, especially as there owner is likely too turn off the financial taps. Erm.... have I misread this our league has not been voided yet has it? Pete is just being Pete S...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

I think today will be the last game in along time. As we are run by volunteers at least we don’t have a large non playing wage bill particularly with Craig Morley now left. If the players and football management were to take a reduction or deferred payment we can get through this. HMRC are notoriou...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

I completely disagree, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. The reasons behind cancelling EFL games are to do with crowds, larger crowds than we normally get. To suggest we use this as an opportunity to get a larger than normal crowd is perverse. Just think about it. This is really serious stu...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

I've had email saying conversations are still ongoing with NL but I suspect it will go the same way. Suspect one of the factors now will be where the PL / EFL fans will go if they find out their local non-league game is on. In other words a Marketing opportunity for us? Surely with the right messag...

really enjoyed the update with lots of info given in the article as well as the interview. Good work from the club, hopefully this will stop people moaning, but I doubt it Think you are being a bit harsh about people "moaning." Given the announcement of early bird season ticket sales, with the expectation for fans to demonstrate commitment, Surely in the interest of transparency a statement ALA 2019 update should be provided. The fact they have the specific number of bets placed suggests they have done it from their own online betting account which is a bit thick.
The Rules have been in place since 2014 as it states in the article. I am sure most Fans are aware of this Rule so yes really really thick Blokes!

Agreed up to a point, however thought club was to make a statement about SV at Xmas. No problem with NDA's etc & why FD+CM left but more important that we get someone in to replace 2 key roles at the club. Fans could be reassured if a person at Board level made a communication on the club website. ...

Re: Retention for next year

Because it’s a well known fact that we exceeded the original playing budget set to bring in the likes of Hedley, Storey, Connell and Martin after the cup run. Since we’re not guaranteed that revenue next season I expect we’ll need to reduce the playing budget from what it is currently to somewhere ...

A good point that halts the slide in form. Honestly, I would’ve taken a point before kick off, and a late equaliser is always nice. Haven’t seen any highlights yet, obviously, but nice to see Omar on the scoresheet. He’s been underused lately imo. Should we not have a bit more ambition than to be s...

Apparently Styche has left today "by mutual consent" Gone to Bromsgrove Sporting in the league below before any of our fans start to get nostalgic. Not nostalgic at all for Styche. A bit of a bad penny by the look of it with a massive ego. The exact opposite of the players we currently have. Totall...

The thing is our current wage bill is higher than intended because of the need to cover three long term injuries. My guess is that next seasons budget will be about the same as this season’s started at. However by then Ainge will gone, we won’t have to pay off Burn and any other of TWs 2 year, big ...

A real shame, I don't know why AA didn't give him more game time. Because Wheatley, Hatfield, Holness, Reid and Atkinson are considered to be better players? Hope that helps you work the answer out. PS Bascombe isn't a bad player though, not knocking the lad at all. I think question was why he didn...
