Great performance.
Still showed belief even after it went 1-1.
Will Hatfield scoring verses a limping keeper seemed inevitable but I think he would have scored anyway.
Confidence growing all over the team now.
So glad I went.

Re: Hypothetical ownership structure
It's a good idea for an initial cash boost, but what might happen when the 49% person wants to press on and spend another large sum. Will the fan owners be expected to match this or shrink their stake to, say, 40%?

I was there at the 3-1 win back in 94 and will be there today.
It was he first night of the national lottery I think, Stuart hall did the radio commentary and Shipman was still practicing at the Hyde surgery.
What could possibly go wrong?

Re: Best Darlo goals you’ve seen live
Giving my age away now, so FA Cup 2nd round December 1976 against Sheffield Wednesday, who had been putting us through the mill & testing our resistance most of the game, finally we got the ball just into their half to big Ron Ferguson. He slipped his marker but, lacking forward support, about 35yd...

Re: Curzon 31.08
First of all thanks for the info MCFC. I live 10 miles from Curzon and normally go to this game but due to family reasons was going to make a last minute decision on this occasion so now won't have the extra time to pre book the ticket. I don't blame Curzon Ashton for not wanting to have lots of cas...

Re: Quaker TV
When I lived in the town I'd go to the match but I live 120 miles away and can only get to a few home games (and more away games) each season.
I'd buy from Quaker TV as would many exiles.
Lost income stream for me.

Re: FA rules on abandonment
Even though there was a chance we could have pulled the goals back (and Nicky Hunt obviously hadn’t given up) I think we should offer to concede for the sake of controlling the virus. That will show common sense and sportsmanship and we can get on with the season from there. “For the sake of contro...

Thanks Darlo TV
First time I used the streaming and very good quality, and commentary.
As an exile who only gets to a few home games a year I’d like this opportunity even when the fans are allowed back.
Virtual attendance 957 I think was said.

Re: North West based Darlington fans
It’s a nice idea but even from the Stockport area I’d probably drive directly and stay overnight. There are quite a lot more north west based fans than you think mind you. Certainly when I speak to people at away games I’d say about 40% either live locally or maybe have come up from the midlands. Ha...

I suppose it’s sort of relevant given County flirted with ‘fan ownership’. At least this guy is local to them. Now we have pretty much found our fan owned level I guess the question of additional investment will get asked, although I admire what has been achieved without going pop over the last 7 ye...

Good riddance to Chapman, she was just so weak, she has paid the price for not respecting the Brexit vote of her constituents & sucking up to Corbyn A little less gloating and a bit more humility might be a good idea Pete. If we get a big home game then the Arena should be considered if possible. I’m talking Sunderland or Hartlepool level.

What a lovely day out. Great result and a really warm welcome. Volunteers, stewards all excellent, extra food and drink set up, no segregation and absolutely no one misbehaving. We sat on two grass banks, bathed in sunshine for the second half. Good to see so many known faces. MCFC you missed a tre...

Re: Darlington FC fightback victories
Coming from 2 down at home to Hartlepool to win 5-2. McClean in the tin shed end before half time then 4 from Alan Walsh in the Polam end in the second half. About 1981 I think.
Also coming from 3-1 down at Salford to win 4-3 has got to be worth a shout.

Well it has to be the Arena as there are too many houses on the pitch at Feethams these days.
However, if it we could roll back even to 2004 then feethams.

Re: BM or HP
Couldn't the Arena be added to this poll?
That being said HP right now is slightly better if too far out of town, but BM just needs more terracing and seats added.
I don't even think the clubhouse spoils the atmosphere.

Re: Tommy Wright: 19/20 Season. Yay or Nay
This isn't clear cut for me but I'd say we should start next season with TW. I think a lot of fans would look purely at attendance tables and assume that we should make the playoffs on that basis, but perhaps the real comparison is with other 'fan owned' clubs such as FC united. I think Tommy has ma...

I was in the City end on the South Terrace with a mate of mine as I lived in Manchester and the 5000 home tickets had all been sold whearas City only sold half their ludicrous 3000 allocation.
Had to pretend to be really disappointed at City’s defending when Gary Bennet scored!

Re: Styche gone this week
I guess that's true, but is it so much the case while we're in the north. I'd imagine we have a fair few scattered around London, myself included. To be honest, it's much easier for me to get to home games via the east coast train, than a lot of away games in relatively obscure / badly connected sp...

Surely if you buy a mini ticket you will use it yourself. Surely there will never be circumstances where someone who lives over 100 miles away can’t make it to the last game of the season. I know my one trip to the Ethiad a few years ago was using someone else’s ticket in the same circumstances. So...

What I don’t like about VAR is the now you can never quite cheer with certainty when you score a goal. The Iran non equaliser being a case in point. The huge cheer as the ball hits the back of the net and the ref points to the centre circle is what the game is all about. Goal line technology I can a...
