Re: Boost the budget

£71,742 from 308 investors. Absolutely outstanding. I think it took until 22nd of May last year to hit £70k, it absolutely snow-balled after Alun was appointed. This got me thinking, I wonder if the club have planned a Netcafe with Alun before the end of May? That could really increase some momentu...

Re: Big decision for Chester fans to make.

Chester fans should err on the side of caution. By the sounds of it he wants to use the football club as part of a Sporting Village development for Hotels, Spas etc. Where have been heard that one before? It is also convenient that he has submitted his proposal now, when the club is facing losses d...

Re: One chairman's view

It's quite refreshing to hear a bit of honesty and realism from someone with in the game isn't it?

He may well end up being wrong of course, but I think that will be more down to how this pandemic goes

Was in contact with Ray Simpson this morning, he was already planning something like this and is putting something together.

Loughlin had his tongue up the backside of Coxall too, he's to blinkered to see anything bad about Pools.

Former players idea

Just been thinking about ways of passing the time during this period of uncertainty around the world. It's basically coming off the top of my head, so even if it was well received it would probably need some tweaking. Would it not be possible to do something like a 'Blast from the Past' series? We c...

We could always use the arena plenty of space for social distancing.

Re: Raj Singh

The part of the interview that struck me the most, wasn’t the parts about how Pools were struggling financially, how he couldn't find investors etc etc. It was his talk about the care-homes when asked about how his other business was in these difficult times. Interviewer: "One of your other lines o...

Re: Boost the budget

Be interesting to see if the cut off date gets extended, especially with next season unlikely to start on time.

Re: Seeing as it’s coming up to 20 years since Wembley 2000

Great idea - could we even get some of the fans to give some input? Their thoughts and memories of the season?

Could we even put something together and sell it to try and raise a bit of extra money for the club? Just thinking out loud here by the way.

Re: My first game

If memory serves me right, my first game was the game against Burnley at the Riverside. I was still at school, and I was really a Man Utd fan back then thanks to my old man. A lad at school was a Darlo fan, and invited me along. When we were leaving he warned me that it wasn't always that exciting. ...

Re: Raj Singh

Lots of similarities to poolies situation and what happened with us and Reynolds. Like us they were financially knackered and just grateful to find an investor even though they knew it was a massive risk it was him or nothing. Like Reynolds at Darlo there was a honeymoon period where things seemed ...

Re: Our greatest night

It has to be the Whitby game for me too. Travelling along the Moors Road in what seemed like a convoy of Darlo fans eager for their Fish and Chips, followed up with a title winning performance. As others have said, we absolutely battered them. The game was over within about fifteen minutes. Everythi...

Re: The Trophy final V Mansfield

We're re-running the whole game on May the 9th. There will be more details nearer the time on the official website. Its probably not the best game in all honesty (well until the last minute) but I think this will be the first time anyone has been able to watch the whole game back since the day itse...

Interesting that he blamed a lot of the problems with Darlo on the Banking finance problems.. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't that happen in 2008, which was well before we had our problems with him.
I think he just blamed a lot of the problems on anything other than himself
