Re: New initiative by the club 'Virtual Tickets'

I've got a season ticket so the club has my money already . It ain't losing out financially on my money *if* the season is cancelled - I am. Also I BTB and will continue to do so. That's enough for me though, this is a step too far. Obviously, it needs to be pay on day fans that need to be financin...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

There will be serious consequences for many clubs, some of which may end in administration or even extinction. Various spaces could appear in any league which then impact promotion /relegation. Pyramids need solid foundations & could collapse..... Barnet have laid off all 60 non-playing staff https...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

It'll be the last chance to see us for some time, although living near Boston I'm hoping I may have the chance on Tuesday. Divas is right in that what confronts us will be unprecedented and it will have big implications for next season too. I'm wondering if we'll need to do some fundraising going f...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

Baffling decision tbh. Won't take long before some clubs who don't fancy a game because they've got a few knocks or aren't in form claim they've got players or staff who are ill to get the game hooked. Integrity of the competition very much a big issue in all of this. But classic National League th...

I know Craig Hignett has history with us, but his recent loyalties have been with poolie. Not sure that having his as the guest speaker is the best off ideas. Why hold that against him, don't forget Raj showed him the door so might make things interesting. If he is a good after dinner speaker then n...

Re: Spennymoor Players - Charged with betting offences

The response to this from Spendy fans is incredible. Remember, the players have all admitted to it. I’m paraphrasing here but they’re along the lines of: “Leave them alone, it’s only a bet”, “Other players will do it so it’s fine”, “How dare you even report this?” And my favourite is the guy claimi...

Will you lot please stop it. My sides are actually hurting. Comedy gold. It sure is funny! Re: Spennymoor Players - Charged with betting offences

Adam Boyes placed over 2,000 bets, I'm thinking that there could be a lengthy ban there. I suppose that's what happens when you're sat on the bench for 2 years and are on good money - get bored, start gambling. I fancied that we might go for him over the summer, could be in a bit of jeopardy now de...

Re: New kit

To be fair that first one is pretty similar to our kit from 1889 (black strip down the middle). We had stripes, quarters and a solid black vertical strip all before we ever had hoops. In fact I think in our 127 year history I am not sure we have worn hoops for even 50% of it. I like the quarters th...

Awful all of them......absolutely awful Totally agree. None of them are proper Darlington shirts. Black and white hoops are distinctive and unique and I bet loads of other teams would like to have that. Perhaps as a fan owned club DFCSG members could have been consulted as to whether they prefer ho...

Not everyone is as cautious with their contracts. Kings Lynn have just signed striker Dayle Southwell and given him a two-and-a-half-year contract. He had apparently been on more than £1,000 a week at Halifax. Another club with an owner pumping the money in. This is why we must aim for promotion as...

If Scott Wilson knows Luke Trotman well enough to judge his dedication and integrity, or indeed has spoke to the club to ask for their view then fair enough. At least Alty fans will only have to pay £10 when they return to The Field. Spennymoor surcharges other visiting Co. Durham fans 40% - £14 for the visit of Darlo and Gateshead but back to £10 for everyone else.
Well they are a big club- following premier league pricing structures
