Re: 20 years ago today...

Can’t remember the reason why the 3rd round game was played in December that season instead of the usual date the first weekend in January. It was because the powers to be wanted to end the season early to give England more time to prepare for euro 2000 not that it did us any good we flopped agains...

Re: Sweet Caroline

I think it was actually originally used by Lincoln city during the success that they were having under the Cowley brothers and York city have probably just decided to copy. Not sure but I think they were both in the national League at the same time.

Re: Darlington v Chester

Strange enough has it is we nearly always do better against the stronger clubs. Alun Armstrong has form against Chester his Blyth Spartans team trounced them 8 1 at the beginning of last season wouldn't mind seeing a repeat of that drummed up has a pre Christmas treat.

Hmm pretty certain that the glazers are referred to has Manchester United's American owners just has Ellis short at Sunderland and randy Lerner at Aston villa once over so again as I originally stated I fail to understand your grievance. All I stated was a fact I did not insult the fact he was Asian...

Macclesfield town are in the north west and it was a certain Mr Singh I was referring to. Although Josef cala did nearly bankrupt Gateshead also. Not intending to upset ethnic minorities or the PC brigade I was just stating a fact.

Re: Small clubs in the north west

The curse has struck again Macclesfield town are refusing to play Saturdays game with Crewe Alexandra due to non payment of wages by an Asian owner strike any chords. Also sol Campbell wants the club wound up in the high court has he is owed around £180'000 in unpaid wages. Further proof our fan own...

Re: Leamington (A)

I'm not long out of bed after returning home in the early hours from last night's game everybody seems to be drumming up formations. Well having also witnessed brackley first hand it either lack of effort or lack of confidence which is grinding on me I hope it's the latter bit for large periods of l...

Also did the Telford winner not come yet again after we screwed up yet another boring and predictable short corner routine allowing them to counter attack and catch us on the break like it or not at some point we're going to have to start playing ugly like several teams do in this league we're not B...

Re: Darlington V Telford

Why can we never put the ball in the net at the tin shed end ? This is one of our bad habits that's really beginning to grind on me now. Also Thompson was selfish today putting himself before the team if your carrying an injury like he obviously was then hold your hand up and be substituted don't ef...

Wonder if Telford manager Gavin Cowan will be kind enough to give us some tips on knocking Solihull Moors out of the fa trophy in their own back yard seeing has that's what his bucks team did in last season's quarter final.

Re: Solihull Moors Away - FA Trophy 1st Rnd

In the 1st match, the 'exhibitionist' referee Uriah Rennie played 12 minutes of additional time awaiting the moment to give Solihull a ridiculous penalty in the final seconds. That was actually in the replay down at their place after the infamous cash in the bag case with the referee in the cricket...

Re: Solihull Moors Away - FA Trophy 1st Rnd

Some positives firstly they were knocked out of the fa trophy last season by AFC Telford United when they were playing a lot better than they are now so proves a team from our league can beat them in their own back yard. Secondly we're unbeaten in cup games in Birmingham this season. And finally for...

3 weekends now that O'Neill has been kicking his heels. He would have benefited more staying at Darlo for the duration of the agreed loan at least. And we might have actually beat Walsall first time round.... Because of the way woodgate has behaved towards us and the player I actually hope Boro get...

That was a struggle against limited opposition. I think the midweek game for us didn't help, but I'm just pleased there isn't a replay. It was far from a classic. I didn't hear the crowd announcement.
Today's official crowd was 770 not a bad effort on an awful day weather wise.

Fa trophy match day programme

Wonder if we issue a full size programme tomorrow rather than these cheap eight page efforts we sometimes produce. I realize costs come into the equation but I think we would sell more if we produced a proper issue like we did for each game in 2011 the year we won it. I've just had a a sneak peek on...
