Re: Spennymoor game off

According to a statement on their website at least uncle Brad has apparently agreed to pay for the Altrincham supporters coach and offered them complimentary refreshments. I know I would be totally gutted if Boston United called the game off so late in a couple of weeks time.

Re: Spennymoor Away

The "unsavoury scenes" bit is in the official match report so the club clearly blames us. Whether they do or don't they will still muddy the waters and point at us, it's what they do they go into full defensive & blame everyone else mode. Same when they announced cheaper prices for the playoff with...

Re: Spennymoor Away

The capacity of that side is not sufficient to safely accommodate the number of fans that will be travelling. It's ridiculous and potentially dangerous. It should have been made all ticket if they were going to do this. That side was around 5/6 steps deep wasn't it? If so, full length of the pitch ...

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website

If I remember correctly there are quite a few offices and rooms in the upstair corridors of the arena wouldn't it be great if we could move all the staff out of the town hall up there flatten the town hall and get the council to build us a community stadium on the site. After all wasn't it the counc...

Re: Interview with Johnston on Official Website

I trust Johnston to do what is right for the football club moving forward. When you look at how much progress we have made as a club off the pitch since he came in 2.5 years ago. We’ve come a hell of a long way, but it appears from comments made in programme notes/interviews we are outgrowing the g...

A late Christmas present would be to know that AA has just penned a new long term contract. Darlo are playing some of the best footy I have seen them play in a very vey long time. Next game up for me Boston V's Darlo. CAN'T WAIT. UP THE DARLO i If we can put pay to Solihull Moors in the fa trophy r...

Not unheard to play it on the date of the next round.

So it could be played on the 11th January and then the 2nd round game a midweek after that.
If it is played on that day then we've got a hell of a long midweek trip to Boston United to look forward to .

Just think if only a third of those supporters who turned up against Walsall were prepared to turn up for the replay we wouldn't be having this conversation - but hey let's wait I'm sure if we win on Wednesday and negotiate another couple of rounds they'll all reappear with Wembley on the horizon an...

I thought all games are played to a conclusion on the day. Extra time then penalties Teams agree between themselves prior to the game. I’d have rather finished it today. Can’t see many attending on Wednesday night tbh I agree it will probably be a poor crowd but why should we sacrifice a home game ...

Re: 20 years ago today...

Can’t remember the reason why the 3rd round game was played in December that season instead of the usual date the first weekend in January. It was because the powers to be wanted to end the season early to give England more time to prepare for euro 2000 not that it did us any good we flopped agains...

I think it was actually originally used by Lincoln city during the success that they were having under the Cowley brothers and York city have probably just decided to copy. Not sure but I think they were both in the national League at the same time.

Strange enough has it is we nearly always do better against the stronger clubs. Alun Armstrong has form against Chester his Blyth Spartans team trounced them 8 1 at the beginning of last season wouldn't mind seeing a repeat of that drummed up has a pre Christmas treat.

Macclesfield town are in the north west and it was a certain Mr Singh I was referring to. Although Josef cala did nearly bankrupt Gateshead also. Not intending to upset ethnic minorities or the PC brigade I was just stating a fact.
