Re: English cricket.

I have made it quite clear I am not a cricket fan, but even I got caught up in it and having turned on for 10 minutes to watch the start of the end while waiting for another program to start I was there until the end. A great innings by Stokes, but lets leave it at that. Why diminish an innings like...

Oh dear, I feel a row coming on! We were okay in patches but didn't seem to try to attack the box especially when 10 v 11. Little penetration but still a points a point. MCFCdarlo was on blue moon meeting Shaun Goater on the away terrace! :D Was great seeing The Goat. Was interested to hear my views...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

I have little time for either side to be honest. Clearly remember Bolton when Phil Garside was in charge during their time in the top flight, He put the suggestion forward to the premier league to close and prevent promotion into that league. If I remember correctly he did the same with the Champio...

Re: Rugby League

Are you sure Ed, I think they're are playoffs and the winners meet in Toronto for a one off promotion match. All they've won is the league leaders shield. Do you think Sky would allow promotion without a million pound game? So I agree it is unlikely but Toronto could be in the Championship next sea...

Re: Rugby League

I guess that whoever gets relegated will hope that the Toronto Wolfpack go up this season, otherwise it could be tough to bounce back next season if they are still in the Championship. They are already promoted, which shows the advantage they have compared to when we came back up. They can sign pla...

Re: Rugby League

That's some trip your planning Ed. I'm sure they're will be a few twists & turns before the end of the season. As I've said before, all the sides in the Superleague are capable of providing stunning results or play awful. Hull KR are capable of either performance, as are all the other sides at the ...

Re: The Areana

Maybe the fond memories of playing at Bishop Auckland are because we won a lot of games there whereas The Arena has some very painful ones. Some people called Reynolds idealistic at the time but I can't see the place as anything but a monument to his narcissism and ignorance about small football cl...

Re: Rugby League

Shock results today as London won at Catalan & Salford beat Hull. It throws the relegation battle back into the melting pot. Until last night I was totally confident. Since the end of the Cat's game I am very worried things seem to be going against us. Don't know if you watched but Cat's not only c...

Re: Rugby League

Impressive win for Wigan, sorry Ed I didn't see that forward pass and the commentary team didn't see it either. Bevan French certainly looks like a quality player and Zak Hardaker is now very consistent with the boot, which obviously won't please Rob... I don't think Rob will be over worried. Zak w...

Massive game tomorrow night as Wigan are at home to Warrington. Wigan should be favourites as Warrington will probably have to rest a few players in readiness for next weeks Challenge Cup Final.
Yet again Pete, first try a clear forward pass with lino 6 feet away from it

Re: Rugby League

I think the cost of bringing in effect VAR into all superleague games would be very expensive and is realistic that a side like London with crowds of around 1000 could justify the costs of VAR being introduced to their home games. perhaps you could have a partial VAR system brought in by the bigger...

Re: Rugby League

Have to admit Ed that having seen the tries on the TV, there looked like 2 forward passes for our go ahead try at the start of the second half. But some of your defending and tackles were abysmal. It is the effect of it happening week after week against the top sides. "Here we go again. What is the...

Re: Rugby League

When your struggling most of the decisions seem to go against you, it's the same in football. But when you are doing well all the decisions seem to go your way. Yes I agree. It is normally because you are back tracking and do not have decent ball. Last night was not like that. You attacked. We atta...

Re: Rugby League

Didn't make the game tonight at the DW Stadium, but it was good to hear commentary on 5 Live Sports Extra and great to listen to Wigan coming out on top, after a fairly equal 60 minutes. Still fuming. Totally level game until Wigans 4th try which came from a blatantly well forward pass. Talking to ...

Re: Rugby League

Sadly Leeds hammered Huddersfield 0-44. Looks like you were right about Huddersfield Ed, although Wakefield seem to be getting drawn into the relegation battle. I am still scratching my head trying to work out how we lost 3 times to them. Even Warrington have not done that to us. Big game for us to...

Re: Expectations 19/20

I am a great believer in a good start brings a good season.(Yes I remember 1969, 2000, etc), I would love take a start of something like 4 wins a draw and 1 loss as an indicator we could be there or there abouts. To my way of thinking we could do with a good start simply to pull a few extra faces th...

Re: Rugby League

Stunning victory for London Broncos over St Helens, even if St Helens fielded a weakened team. It's going to be a real fight to avoid the drop. Weakened team? What a ruddy understatement 3 first team squad on show. And that is the second time Saints have done that to London and gifted them 4 points...

Halifax will bring about 50 maximum  Remember when they demanded 600 tickets and barely sold 300 for our first game back. LOL Was that not Stockport? or has my mind blown? Definitely Halifax. Bad result for Wigan but not unexpected against St Helens. Certainly a good set of results for KR this weekend. Funny week. We have only won 3 times there in SL yet I was entirely comfortable all week we would get the result. Ed excluding the magic weekend, how come Wigan and Hull KR play each other 3 times and yet other sides you only seem to play twice. It's a bit unlucky Hull KR having to face Wigan 3 times. Re: Rugby League

You got a penalty when your player had clearly pushed our player and you couldn't breach our defences when you had an extra man. At the moment our defence is superb and it comes as a shock when you managed to score 2 try's. Pete you need to learn the rules mate. The "Push" you refer to and the subs...
