Re: Josh Heaton

I guess it’ll depend how he trains and whether he looks as though he can step up. He looked a liability when he played last season and that was when he was in the squad regularly. 9 months out won’t have made him a better player.

I’d disagree. They were clinical is both boxes which is what wins you matches and leagues. We’re great until we get to both boxes.

Re: Josh Heaton

Big seasonfor Joe Wheatley also who is a legacy player no doubt remunerated quite well and due to injury etc we’ve not seen the best of him for a good while. You can’t build a team over just one summer that’s why this season has always been viewed as transitional by AA. As long as we show signs of p...

Does the early bird season ticket still include two half price match tickets for friends etc. like it did last season?

I have a couple of mates interested in coming to the York game that's all.
No, not this year.

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

I’m just going off AA’s comments that he’d about maxed his budget before signing Donawa, Bell, Heaton. Maybe that was just the budget that he was allowed at that time that was maxed rather than a “reserve” budget too

Re: Gloucester V Darlington

I think the football we are playing this season is light years ahead of the rubbish of last season just need to convert more of the chances we have and confidence will return. The problem lies in both boxes, it’s very pretty on the eye at times in the approach play but that doesn’t win you points u...

Unable to make the long trip to follow Daro this weekend, I thought I might look at Dunston UTS v Sunderland RCA in the FA Cup, as its close by. I have a feeling one of our recent full backs moved on to there any other links to Darlo? And anyone been to the ground and know if its possible to have a...

Re: Bradford PA...

Our shortcomings are also well known by our management team, if he’d had another £50k he probably could have got the goal scorer we needed but he didn’t which is why he was keen to play down expectations at the beginning of the season. We have what the budget allowed and that isn’t enough to build a...

Yeah you can register as an ACV - Asset of Community Value which means that once listed as Assets of Community Value with the local authority, the local community will be informed if they are listed for sale within the five year listing period. The community can then enact the Community Right to Bid...

Re: Small clubs in the north west

The thing is, regardless of whether we stay fan owned or have a wealthy owner, we will eventually find our level. Fan owned we are probably close to our level. With some luck we can probably rise another level and at an absolute push at some stage return to League 2 although probably only for a ver...

Re: Blyth

They’d have been better off giving the job to Mr Blyth Robbie Dale alongside an experienced head like Harry Dunn. Clark was a big name given his ex playing days but it’s telling that no one has touched him with a barge pike and he’s been forced to take very uninspiring jobs since he left Huddersfiel...

We’ll need to find somewhere eventually. Can anyone really see the rugby club agreeing another license for us to play there when this one is up and they’ve cleared their debts? I understand we have O'Neill until the end of December, which is a bit different to the handful of matches that we had Nelson for. You are right about Nelson, but he was also a bit more mature and had some pedigree so we were a shop window for the lad. If O'Neill wins us the same amount of points a...

We’re now doing season tickets where you can pay £20 a month (adult standing) so you don’t even have to shell out a lump sum! I think it would be a wise decision. The players have shown in the first two games that when the click and up the tempo they can be really good. The longer they play togethe...

Re: Trotman out for the season

From what I’ve seen we’re crying out for Atkinson in midfield. Holness and Bascome aren’t the answer in there and Wheatley will take some time to find his feet I suspect. Watson at LB and Liddle at RB for me athiiygh Alun had that option last night but went for 3 at the back so maybe that’s his pref...

I'm something of a lapsed Darlo supporter, having only moved back to the area a few months ago. Atkinson (when fit) can play right back. Which is a bit of a shame if he has to, because I was looking forward to seeing if he could be that midfielder who we've been crying out for since Turnbull left. I wonder if we can get another loan in from Boro? I think one of AA's sons is there as a right b...
