He’s a big fan of Liverpool FC. I once bumped into him and the Bermuda boys in Stockton Fatsos (they ordered salad) [emoji51]

Re: Cambridge City at home

Yep, very decent draw and a great chance to make round one. The presenter was absolutely dreadful though. We had AFC Flied, Gillsley and Sullyhill Moors. He also said Marske’s trip to Brackley was “a great draw” (it’s about the worst draw the could have got). Total amateur. Yes he was absolutely sh...

Pretty sure that non league team who got a bye to round 2 last season got the money because they said they were making a donation to the Bury fund.

Darlington V Tadcaster Albion FA Cup

On the plus side, saw Bury Town won again  You've lost me, jjljks. Why is that good? Sorry, my mistaken assumption it was the new phoenix Bury AFC club as they had already played 2 rounds. Still, not a bad run for a little club. Even for Tadcaster, this was the first time they got this far. A...

Re: Darlington V Tadcaster Albion FA Cup

Apologies if I missed an announcement at the start of this years' FA Cup, but quite a few of the midlands teams who were in the northern half of the draw last year seem to now be in the southern half. Have the geographical boundaries been redrawn for 1 year to restrict travelling due to COVID? Can ...

Re: Darlington V Tadcaster Albion FA Cup

Should also be said that one side from the Northern Section of the draw will get a bye into round one, following Macclesfield Town’s demise. The graphic I saw showed the north and midlands section has 25 clubs with Macclesfield not being allocated a number so 12 ties and 1 bye to first round proper...

I dunno. Do you remember when we drew Bournemouth in the mid 80s when the draw was regionalised [emoji848]

Why has Alan not been in the dug out? Got a 3 game ban at the end of last season i believe, then season ended before it could be served. Cant remember which game its from. Must have been the last game then as I’m sure he was on the touch line v Farsley although that does seem a long time ago now. H...

I see it’s not just Fylde that can’t get a stream up and running. York have “technical difficulties “ this evening [emoji3] Honestly, we really put these full time clubs to shame.

McGill might be owed £8m but he’s sitting on a load of land that BC sits on plus the 2.5m bonus so I reckon he’s doing ok.

If only we could produce a similar talent... That sort of money could fund our own stadium. York will probably just waste it. Couldn't really ask for a kinder draw. Very decent chance to progress and get another chunk of prize money - £5625 That's pretty good money for the 3rd QR, gives us a great chance of progressing .....on paper. York City £2.5M richer!!

Surely they can't mess it up this time!!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54417152

My mate supports York and he told me about this potential deal in the last winter window but it never materialised. £2.5M cash injection is a huge amount for a club playing in the 6th tier of English football.

Re: Government Bailout for National League

It's a bit of a funny one this, public money being used to bail out football clubs that in many cases are badly run and unsustainable as businesses. It seems a bit like kicking the can down the road in some cases - should the bailout be conditional on the club's being supported agreeing to meet som...

Will Prescot Cables be allowed out? - Estimates the national leagues would need 30 million to keep all clubs afloat for the season I wonder how this would work with clubs that are subsidised by a benefactor, i.e. not viable proposition without major backing? Should the government be chucking taxpayers money at a rich mans play thing?...

Even if they agree in principle, there’s unlikely to be any firm commitment or details before we kick off our cup tie on Saturday. Tough decisions ahead for the board.
