Re: New initiative by the club 'Virtual Tickets'
Been thinking of initiatives that may raise money going forward and wondered if the following had any merit. If the club currently have a tie up with a firm of solicitors, it may be an idea that they could offer a Will writing service at competitive rates on the proviso that the client leaves a por...

Alan White
There's a lot of criticism on this board of TW and speculation if and when a new manager will be appointed. However, there's little mentioned about Alan White. Do fans think he's part of the problem or part of the solution?

Re: ''Donation” scheme
Would it be an idea for the ‘donation fund’ to have a specific aim, even if its ambitious and a long way off in the future? The money could then be used as a kind of slush fund that the club could borrow from and pay back to smooth out cash flow.

Re: Raj Singh's side of the story
This is what is annoying. Very few people know the full story but have decided that the rest of us aren't allowed to listen to what he had to say and offer. The board had decided it was good enough to put forward to the fans but because some people can't criticise without being abusive we will neve...

Re: Martin Gray
There can only be one outcome. Go back to his outburst at the FF. His ambition has outgrown the clubs resources. He gave the ultimatum. He stated we were a "laughing stock" which seems hollow now He has no guarantee of success next year , additional £80k or not. Year on year we see the playing budg...

An Inconvenient Truth
I think if we’re going to dismiss this RS investment opportunity out of hand, we would do well to remember a few things. Firstly, as a fan owned club we will very likely never develop BM to FL standards due to costs and the ad-hoc manner it has been developed to date due to the lack of a strategic p...

Re: Its here the investment
Hmm, let's say Raj wanted to takeover the club, move us to the Arena for whatever reasons - it wouldn't just be as simple as that anyway. First of all we have a 20 year lease with the rugby club which we can't just walk away from for free. Secondly we would have to pay substantial grants back which...

Re: Its here the investment
The 40K is going into the playing budget and not the ground infrastructure because RS and whoever else is involved have no intention of staying at BM. MG stated at the forum his and the investors desire to be playing in the FL as soon as possible. By planning to develop the open end into a terrace w...

Re: Potential new investors
All parties must be commended for moving this forward so quickly considering it was only mooted on Friday evening. I think this will also make the prospect of investing in the pitches more palatable for many.

What? The board why? Probably need something from MG and his investor(s) if anything. Because MG is proposing to take the club forward in a way currently, not it would seem, supported by the Board? We need their views surely? I believe he left it in their court at the end on Friday night. Not neces...

Re: Raj Singh
Continuing the speculation, what sort of figures do we think we'd be talking about? Someone who is willing to put in £250k a year towards the running of the club? If they were to own 51% then would the other shareholders have to commit to putting in £245k per year in? I'm not clear how this would w...

Re: Richard Cook quits
Its interesting to read the club statement on the official site and the reasons cited for Richard Cooks resignation. It talks about the ‘cultural fit’ of the football club not being aligned with his other commitments around work and family and this is fair do’s. I’m not 100% sure what is meant by ‘c...

Re: Other Alternatives
Lo is right, Malcolm Cundick does indeed mention the 5,000 and then says that this is Category A. Now Category A, as he says, is the Conference, which is 4,000 capacity with 500 seats, but also to be able to demonstrate plans for 5,000 with 1,000 seats to get in the EFL. The problem then lies in th...

Feethams Land Money
We all know the sorry saga of Feethams but what happened to the money from the land sale? As far as I was aware, the covenant on Feethams, stating it had to be used 'for sporting purposes' was transferred to the land the Arena now sits on which allowed the sale of the old football ground. This was o...

After the events of the last few days, it is pretty obvious that there is a disconnect concerning the level of expertise between on-field and off-field activities. This is in no way a slight at the volunteers who have stepped up to the plate, its that Martin and his management team are from professi...

Re: Constructive views on the Blackwell experience
Just a point on the toilet issue. During the two busiest times for toilet use, which are the 15 minutes leading upto kick off and at half time, the queue which snaked back to the turnstile area appeared to be entirely made up of able bodied males. As the toilet area consists of male, female and disa...

Re: Constructive views on the Blackwell experience
Echo the above r.e the toilets. The huge toilet queue prior to kick-off also caused a bottle neck as the vast majority of home fans had to pass that corner to get to the tin shed or seated stand. The other point I would make is the need for some bins down the lane from Grange Road to the turnstiles....

Not sure why the council has come out with contradictory statements. On the one hand they state they 'don't have the time or resources to help the developers make the plans viable'. Later in the article it states the council 'would welcome the opportunity to work with the company at another site'. I...

Re: Update from the Board of Directors
Talking to an influential member of MPRC recently he told me two things, neither which I can verify but also have no reason to doubt. Firstly, MPRC finances are in good shape. Mainly because utility and everyday running costs of the Arena site are a fraction of what they were under DFC and also beca...

So are you saying that DFC obtaining a 'constructive trust in the land', along with the ownership benefits this brings is part of the current negotiations? I'd believe it would be part of the long term intentions on our part. And certainly both parties will be fully aware of the implications and le...

Re: BM Alternatives
I've never been happy with the BM scenario. It's a bit like renting a house and then paying for an extension to be built yourself. If the deal does go ahead, what happens if DRC go tits up in a few years time owing debts? Surely the creditors will come in and grab the only asset available which is ...
