Re: £225000 reached
I'd say that it's imperative that we now go on and get the 3,000 ground from the start, because for the first few matches 1,950 simply won't be enough and we'll lose out on valuable income. In fact 3,000 won't be enough for the first match, that'll be a guaranteed sell out, and plenty of people wil...

Re: Average attendance when back in Darlo
So much for getting it all done for 75 grand. Mind you the car park and access roads would no doubt be a large cost? Don't think the CiC ever said the whole cost was £75k, it was a target as far I was led to believe. As far as I understand the hold up is firmly with the council which I'm sure will ...

Re: Arena Hotel
I think it's Scott & Sizer who own the land and always had plans for a hotel. With the economy picking up it's not a bad time to develop, the Arenas always busy now and depends on type of hotel I suppose they plan to build. I believe you are incorrect here Carver, as I understand it Scott & Sizer s...

I know what you mean Quakerz, the fact they refused us a friendly which could have made a huge financial difference is also disappointing. However they have made a success of the Arena so far, which previous chairman never did.

50% of what's due, like I say it's such an age ago it would be good if someone who knows could clarify the situation I'm sure £25/30k would go down very well at present.

Re: Club Statement Thread
With all the bickering and sniping by a small minority on uncovered on anybody who steps up to the plate in helping the club or the CIC is getting ridiculous, at this rate we will end not having a club to support at all or a single owner back at the helm. Instead of the criticism offer your services...

Re: New Club Statement
To me it's put up or shut up time. For all those fans that snipe and criticise the CIC and the club they now have an opportunity to join the CIC board and make a real difference, the 3 board CIC members have been running around for months and I'm sure they are now exhausted with it all.

Re: And the next sick rumour....
Once and for all we are definitely not going back to the Arena or the Arena site at least in in the foreseeable future. Mowden committee voted back in April for us not to be part of their development plans, there was some interest by a number of the committee but not the overall majority. Please let...

Re: What about....
Think this is all jumping the gun as I'm sure at the appropriate time the CIC will announce where we are going in respect to a stadium etc its at that time a fund IMO should be set up, this is just going to dilute any fundraising and confuse people.

Also could the council not stipulate in a planning request that the builder builds a ground in order to get planning permission, I have heard of this happening before, but cannot remember where or when? That's really common here in the US. The chap who owns the San Jose Earthquakes wants to build a...

I noticed on Tees recently Ali Brownlee had dropped the 1883 when talking about Darlo. I'm sure over time the 1883 can be dropped from any literature etc and just be the legal entity.

That's fine but as a winning top of the table team scoring goals we are failing to get more than 1600 crowd,if next season we are not in the top 4 we will suffer. The need to get back home is so important and should be a number priority for next season.

Can't believe some of the comments on this thread feel a bit ashamed to be honest.
This is about giving a few tins to help out with food parcels which unfortunately more families are needing to rely on in the current climate.

The Arena won't happen and DBC won't be funding any celebration, we are in this totally on our own. You've changed your tune, not long ago you were hinting that we had exciting possibilities lined up regarding a site and ground. With no help from DBC we're screwed. Appears a very sensible appointment to me, as Ian Wilkinson has stressed they are trying to get the off pitch activities as professionally run as the playing side. Lets all support the appointee and give her any help where needed.
