Re: Retained list for 2023/24

The purpose of Boost the Budget is to attract & retain new and existing players. Over the past few weeks, we have had: - Our club captain signing a blank piece of paper next to an old piece of grounds equipment at BM (which beats Lawlor signing his in a beer garden). - Contract lengths omitted out ...

Re: Retained list

Above perfectly sums up what I was thinking. I'm a long term viewer of this board and rarely post, but recently pretty much every thread ends up completely away from the original post and into pointless pedantic bickering. It really is annoying. Debate about the subject at hand are part of the parce...

Re: Retained list

I hope we do get Lowe back, he grew and grew into the team and useful at set pieces too.

Didn't see that one coming.

Losing our captain and ultimately, one of our best players is a massive loss.

Kidderminster Game

Long time member, rarely post.

I'm bringing my 2 boys for the game tomorrow (their first Darlo game!) and I've not been to a game in years.

Where is recommended to sit/stand?

Thanks in advance!

Re: BT Sport...

Is the gate money split for the replay? If not it could be a tidy sum with the TV money. Not according to Craig Stoddart; "Each club receives £33,750 when chosen for a live TV replay, much-needed money for fan-owned Darlington.". And on The Northern Echo, too: https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news...

Re: New Manager Interviews this week

The way the NE article is written it seems that 2 of those in contention are bosses of National League North clubs, but not necessarily all of the people in contention... yet they all seem to of played for us before. I wonder if Aspin is in the frame? Do we think he'd be a realistic proposition for ...

An update: https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/local/darlington/17648603.darlington-close-to-making-an-appointment/. Not sure how people on here will react to this part specifically: "The Northern Echo understands that names are in contention at this stage have previously played for Darlington an...

It's definitely 2 of the names mentioned on this thread who have put the money forward and are in discussions with progressing further. Both have been involved with us before.

Apologies, I genuinely missed it.

Yep, seems the 2 names mentioned are the ones I was told too, from an extremely reliable and credible source.

Certainly an interesting mix!

Re: Potential new investors

Has anyone heard any rumours about who the investors are? I was talking to a source yesterday who deals with the accounting side of things close to the club and he mentioned 2 names who have pitched in the initial 10k and are in discussions about investing further... but didn't know if this was comm...
