Re: Darlington V Hornchurch Trophy Quarter Final
Could be one of the most short-lived Darlo careers going, but welcome to the new lad! Here's hoping he gets three games for us!

Re: Fans’ forum
Idea of moving back to the Arena has been kiboshed for now (Josh will be happy). Interesting line from Dave Mills saying the relationship with the rugby club at Blackwell is as good as it’s ever been. Not a suprise at all, I knew this was inevitable after the majority of true fans rose up and refus...

Re: Really frightening club loans
Not surprised Derby are on the list. Their owner is seriously dodgy. They've been throwing money at getting out of that league for years with no obvious source of income to balance their FFP requirements.

Re: Season null and voided
Hats off to both the National League and the Government for making a right royal pigs ear out of all of this. It's the right thing to do, but let's remember that this will now end up costing the tax payer *more* than if they just came up with some grants... and that's not to say the National League ...

I have called him Tom Kaak forever, so quite surprised to find out it’s Ton. He was really good on an old version of Football Manager (will have still been Champ Manager back in the day, I suppose!).

Re: York City
I’ve always found York fans pleasant, but there’s been some right clowns on the internet over the past few weeks. I don’t know if it’s just a vocal minority, or if the last year just makes people more irritable and opinionated. (The truth might be somewhere in the middle). It has to be weird opening...

Re: Board Statement 15 Feb
So, effectively, we will stop playing league fixtures from now, but we will come back if there is a sniff of making some money. Isn't this the point of all football. It is not played for esoteric reasons but in the hope that success will lead to pounds in the bank. Some will search for that in a pr...

Re: Board Statement 15 Feb
What are you talking about? The whole point is financial. I'm simply pointing out we aren't even thinking of playing the Trophy game to make money, it's just that we can actually afford to play it without running the club into ruin. We obviously all want to see the club playing games, but there is a...

Fair points Gramps but some seem to base their opinions solely on photographs which are no doubt realistic. However, surely you need to actually physically visit the ground and experiance a match to make a proper judgement? PS Can you build a new ground within budget that has character? Of course g...

Re: Board Statement 15 Feb
I doubt we'd even make money out of playing the Trophy game, we'd probably just break even. The point being that we would like to play football without endangering the future financial stability of the club. The trophy, we can. If we continue in the league, we will drive the club into debt. That's t...

York City
https://twitter.com/yorkcityfc/status/1360960313609379840?s=21 Say what you will about our near neighbours, that’s a nice looking stadium. Needs safe standing though. I only hope our future home, wherever it may be, can have one stand with some suites like theirs has. Will be a tremendous asset to t...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
A number of teams have announced that they have/will furlough their contracted players and if necessary fulfil their fixtures using academy, non-contract players and probably anyone who stands outside the ground with his boots. Someone on twitter has asked if it is legal to furlough an employee and...

Re: Kidderminster Harriers 13th Feb
I really fail to see what is taking them so long. How hard is it? There aren't that many clubs. I'd have thought most of them have made a public announcement on the matter, so the hold up is either incompetence or, I suspect, backpedalling behind the scenes. I've actually lost track of what has and...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
We haven't said we won't be playing. If we weren't going to play then we should have told Kidderminster by now in my opinion. Seeing it going to-4 on the beeb for Friday night may not be playing anyway Pitch has covers on by all accounts, no idea if that will see them game on or not though. If Kidd...

Re: That penalty
If we have enough other clubs on our side, we hold the cards on this one. What are they going to do, kick 20 clubs out? More? There’s no one to promote, the leagues below aren’t finishing their seasons. I wonder how much of this situation can be levelled squarely at Kings Lynn and York last year and...

We’re going to have to take a firm position at some point. They’re bullying Dulwich also.
We should band together with clubs from the South as well as the North. Tell this lot where to stick their fines.

It is a great draw for us, but I'm somewhat doubtful it will happen. The league only seems to be going one way.

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void
I can't see a reason to think the squad will be broken up, beyond the possibility of someone at a level above maybe picking our better players off... but who are those players right now? I'd think the squad will be largely intact and will end up furloughed, in the event of null and void. Of course, ...

Re: League restarts 6 February
Restarting without testing is completely and utterly irresponsible from a public health perspective. At this level, the vast majority of other players have other jobs. It's just an unacceptable amount of community mixing for what is not, as much as many of us like it, an essential activity.

The Chinese government changed the terms for bailing out NLN and NLS football clubs and the premise for beginning the season did they? I don't know what is more embarrassing, the post itself, or those lining up to agree for it.
