Wow. Check out our fixtures on the official website. They're not hopeful of this ending anytime soon.

Re: Season VOIDED

Basically the FA Council can decide to promote and relegate whoever they want, whenever they want within the National League System. At their discretion from time to time. Re: Season VOIDED

Surely because of Bury FC going out of business, Barrow should take that vacancy?
Probably a few more 'holes' will appear in the pyramid before this plague is over.

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

Quite happy for Barrow to go up as they were more than sympathetic to us when we were in trouble. Covid19 has completely wrecked the season and really the FA and league management have to sort things out asap. Otherwise we should leave it to Ginge to do the maths and tell us who is up and who goes d...

Re: Coronavirus and DFC

Looks like the lawyers will be the only ones to come out of Covid19 with money in their pockets. No doubt there are subtle nuances and differences between "voided / anulled / furloughed / terminated" etc that will affect club finances. Really need FA & Leagues to get their fingers out, make some ver...

I've been to Aldershot once to watch Darlington, pretty sure it was around 2009 and we lost. The thing that struck me was the row of drummers, best I've ever heard at a footie ground.
Suspect the drummers would have been some of the military bandsmenπŸ’‚β€β™‚οΈπŸ’‚β€β™‚οΈπŸ’‚β€β™‚οΈ

Re: The moment we've all been waiting for...

Rishi Sunak says he will pay a grant to enable the club to cover 80% of wages where we are unable to operate due to Covid19 to avoid laying off workers. Deferring VAT until June which will help too. Will still be a struggle to keep the club together, but we can do it.

Not wrong there, joejaques. Lot of clubs being propped up as vanity projects. Will be very interesting to see how deep their commitment to their club really is.

If the administrators get called in, they look for parties interested in buying the assets of the ailing company. Could be a bargain, where else is there a pitch & facilities up to NL standards in Darlington?

Played really well for 1st quarter, knocking ball about but lacked penetration until Omar scored. Never pushed to get 2nd when Celtic looked out of sorts & outclassed. It's almost beyond belief that wildlife trade and slaughter at a dirty market in China would eventually lead to Darlo games being postponed.

Re: Last home game for a while?

As a season ticket holder, I always assume I will miss a few home games due to unforeseen circumstances. Another 4 would be a blow but must also consider those fans who don't have season tickets. Potentially the loss of revenue from them could be higher, especially with the raised interest due to ou...

Re: Last home game for a while?

I think there is a grave chance that a lot of non-league sides will just fold if they don't get revenue from paying fans. Clubs with rich benefactors or clubs with a decent fan base like ours will survive. But after this is all over non-league football & even league football will look very differen...

Wasn't there some grants for improvements to the ground from FA which have conditions that we have to stay for so many years, else have to repay the amount? Thought this was around 5 years, so we would be liable for this if we moved before that conditional period expired.
