Re: Darlington v Farsley 13/04/24

What a day.

Even at half time I felt that Darlington would be too strong in the second half. And in fact playing into the wind worked out better for Darlington.

Some outstanding performances today. Players who gave their absolute all once again.

The team spirit, the effort, absolutely brilliant.

Re: Massive credit to Watson and the board

I was at that awful evening in Chorley and I thought there was no way back this season.

Steve and Terry have done an incredible job. What a turnaround it has been in so many ways.

Fingers crossed we continue this in our last 2 games and both sign up for next season.

A few choice words exchanged and team mates had to separate them. With regards to their keeper, hes impressed me both times we have p...

Re: Easter Monday at Warrington Town

Too many outstanding performances today to mention all by name. Every single Darlo player put in a solid shift, worked hard for the team and played their part in a fantastic and important win. Firstly the fans were brilliant. Over 300 and they made great noise and got fully behind the team. Darlingt...

Re: Asante Starts

He is apparently fit and has been for the last 2 or 3 games, but not being picked.

Maybe not impressing the manager with his effort in training, as Curry and Nelson are both being picked ahead of him in the squad.

Re: Rushall v Darlington

The young lad Maher was made to look a genius by our defence.

Griffiths got nowhere near him all game.

He was allowed to run at the defence and shoot at will.

A really bad day at the office for Darlo and surprisingly the whole team particularly the defence looked lacklustre.

Re: Rushall v Darlington

Outplayed in every area of today's match.

Very few Darlo players can say they had a decent game.

The most annoying thing was how we were second best in all areas, slow, lethargic and off the pace.

I hope this was just a blip and is a wake up call to anyone who thought we were safe.

Great strike by Cornish.

I thought the way he controlled the ball on his chest and set himself up for the shot was superb.

Hopefully SW and TM will keep the lads focussed as still a lot of games to go.

Particularly when the opposition keeper is playing on one leg. Don't think I've ever seen a keeper having to carry on when they are as hampered as that by injury. He looked to be in agony. Their keeper could barely stand up, yet we weren't shooting. And what was even more mystifying were the short ...

Re: Curzon V Darlington

I'll bet the owners of Curzon Ashton sometimes feel like they're pushing a large boulder uphill in terms of attendances. Last Tuesday's home game with Peterborough Sports attracted just 149 people. Must be a bit demoralising when they compete very well at this level. The ground's excellent (althoug...

By the way regarding injuries.

Just got home from the game. So many warriors out there today for Darlo. Re: Darlington v Alfreton 10/02/24

We talk about the 3 managers at great length, but the players have to be largely held responsible for this season.

How many of them can honestly say they have been good enough this season.

So much experience in the squad, yet woeful performance after performance.

Just got home from the match. Darlington tried hard, but were awful against a very poor side. Not a single player out there for Darlo who can say they had a decent match. Scott Barrow - new signing

Darlington have today signed defender Scott Barrow from York City on loan until the end of the season. Scott started his career at Swansea,  before moving on to Port Talbot where he made over 100 appearances and was named in the Welsh Premier League team of the year. He then moved to Tamworth in 201...
