Re: O'Neill recalled

Really don’t get this this crap being directed at Boro. O’Neill is their player,Woodgate thought he was short of bodies and so called him back.Yes the timing was shite for us but that’s the danger with loan players. Pears,Hemings, and O’Neill .Three good players we have been fortunate enough to get f...

Re: Louis Laing

So you think a bloke who has probably never played up front in his life would be a better option than a highly mobile specialist forward with seven goals . Bizarre. Specialist forward? He needs to start proving it then. Totally agree with you Ghosty, but he’s still a better option than Laing up fron...

Re: Louis Laing

It’s an option, who would you take off to slot him in up front? Possibility try Laing through the middle with Rivers and Thompson playing wider. Campbell maybe not at his best recently, not quite a central striker not quite a winger. Not a bad player just not quite sure exactly what he is. So you th...

Let's beat Walsall first. They will not be so easy to shock this time and we will not have a full squad to pick from. Oxford United are in better fettle than Walsall. As we will be on BT Sport for replay, cannot see too many of their fans making the trip. Fans need to be aware that tickets are limi...

Can’t argue with the Connell comment but the guy has done enough in previous games to earn himself a couple of dodgy moments.

 Nostalgia is ok for us oldies, but even I cannot remember Feethams without the Tin Shed, although I did see a number of games where the pitch was like a ploughed field, but a win in extra time....🤔 In that case you ain't "1 of us oldies" Regular as clockwork early season as soon as the half ...

Still time to do a deal on Liam Connell, or did he already play for South Shields in previous FA cup games?
Don’t you think that would have prevented him from playing in the last round???

No one on here knows what has gone on in the past with Burn, when I’ve met him in hospitality he’s always been chatty and friendly. All players have contracts and normally are advised by agents or PFA how to handle the situation If they are out of favour, if you have a contract it’s like any other ...

Yep. Burn could really want to play but we want him off the wage bill and are forcing him out effectively. At the moment, by not saying anything, the inference being taken is that Burn is an unfit, uninterested parasite, stealing a wage doing very little. Perhaps the silence speaks a thousand words. As an owner, perhaps it's not unreasonable to know why one of your most expensive assets is sitting idle ...

I would prefer Chasetown as they are in a lower division and that gives us slightly more chance of being on TV meaning more money. Neither are easy to get to by train!
