NLN line up gets stronger and stronger each season. Was hoping to lose Brackley to NLS, but no such luck.
I agree, it's harder to guess who might struggle than those who could do well.

Harrogate Town into League 2, quite an achievement albeit financially aided but credit to them.

Re: Maguire & Langstaff Released

Maguire signing is another pretty big statement of intent. Great options up top now, just a matter of AA finding the right combination and keeping everyone content as I would imagine there will have to be a fair bit of rotation. Hopefully, the season can start in some form!

Laurent Blanc was at least 38 when he joined Man Utd...ended up with a Premier League winners medal. Age is just a number and if you still have the fitness and desire to play then I don't see a problem with signing him.

Re: New signing

Very pleased with both signings and could be a pretty good piece of business... once the new season starts, here's hoping! On paper we are beginning to have the makings of a squad more than capable of challenging in the top 7 I just hope we can get going at some point in the future.

I'm curious as to how exactly 30k will do anything to fill the holes in their finances? Seems a very unambitious target to say the least.

Orange is my choice, it's been a while since we have had that option of a change kit and we have had a green away shirt a couple of times in recent years.

Have to say watching the match back in its entirety I'd forgotten in my opinion how even and edgy I thought the match was it was actually just as nerve shredding even knowing the eventual result! :o  We were slight favourites on the day, but I think a combination of nerves and the humidity stif...

Bit of a while since I last posted and I hope all are well and staying safe wherever you are in the world. :) In my opinion BtB gives the club some sort of indication of support and funds, especially needed at this unpredictable moment in time. It will give us a much better foundation for when some ...

So there has been confirmation that the first case of this virus has reached Darlington and interestingly enough the last bit of information from the Northern Echo related to DFC and whether it will effect our matches. Whether or not the individual has any association with the club in an official ca...

A battling win by the sound of it and the type we need to win to keep the pressure on those above. Looking ahead, it is looking more and more likely that our playoff destiny will hinge on Gateshead away, which is effectively the 6 pointer, although the obvious cliché is we now have to treat the last...

So what are the rules on signing and playing players, is it clubs within a calendar year or is it reset at the end of the season? I assume we are ok signing him again on loan within the same season, even with his loan spell at Blyth? Don't want us falling foul of player ineligibility and I'm not sur...

A good point that halts the slide in form. Honestly, I would’ve taken a point before kick off, and a late equaliser is always nice. Haven’t seen any highlights yet, obviously, but nice to see Omar on the scoresheet. He’s been underused lately imo. Should we not have a bit more ambition than to be s...

Agree Holness should be in our starting line-up. There wasn't too much wrong with our midfield trio of Hatfield, Wheatley and Holness earlier in the season, was there? Except we had O'Neill up front. We haven't got anyone to fill that role now. Campbell needs a big lad up there to bring the best ou...

Re: Hereford

A point away at Hereford is a decent result. However, if you are being hypercritical it is probably 2 points dropped in the circumstances of chasing a playoff place. With results of teams around us you have to try and cash in on wins, draws get you nowhere when you are hunting down the top 7. I thin...

Looking at the fixtures to come, we have played a lot of the top teams away already and some of them twice meaning if we can keep the tempo and consistency against the lower teams, our run in is favourable. To play... 1. Kings Lynn (h) 4. Brackley (h) 5. Boston (a) 6. Alty (h) 8. Gateshead (a) 10. ...

Re: Eight games in 29 days.

The significance of winning tonight is that it has bought us a 'free hit' at Chester, I think we now have a buffer to at least 7th even if we lose and accounting for other teams having games in hand... that is the important difference between winning games like tonight and drawing. We are playoff co...

Re: Eight games in 29 days.

Draw your 'difficult' away matches and win at home puts you in a strong position over a season. However, really draws get you nowhere and winning matches creates the big moves. I'd be going to Guiseley and Chester expecting to win, on current form and despite our defence it may be a case of winning ...

Good to see us climb into the top 7, it will be interesting to see how long we can remain in the playoffs considering that other clubs have games in hand, scoreboard pressure may play it's part. Not just the delivery of set-pieces but we haven't had enough players to target when throwing it into the box. We may have a bit more presence now with Reid and Martin, sometimes I think because of this we have been reluctant to go direct at times.
