Re: Darlo V Scunthorpe

Watched a video by a Scunthorpe fan and couldn't believe the amount of abuse they were giving their players at the end.

Re: Home kit vote

Only so much you can do with a hooped shirt, other than the collared shirt (which looks a bit like a golf top to me), they're all much of a muchness and all completely fine if you ask me. I am possibly mistaken but I thought we were going to get non hooped options every third season. Like you I can...

Re: Banbury V Darlington

It looks like it should be be on NLTV to me. The NL TV update says that the changes kick in from February onwards: https://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/streaming-update-national-league-north-and-south-80142 But then their actual TV website for the 20th Feb still shows all games being available to pu...

Re: Who's in for it....

As it is an international break weekend games can be streamed at 3pm on a Saturday.

At least we might get a little boost to our viewing numbers from prospective managers!

Re: Make or break season for AA

And also - lets be honest - we were pretty much a stagnant club when we were in the league. I have been a supporter since the mid-80s and in all that time, except for a small number of seasons, in the league the most excitement usually came from trying not to get relegated. Admittedly we are in a wo...

Re: Chris Edwards (Kasabian Bass player)

Easiest answer is to read this:

Basically Andrew Scullion managed to get him to come to one of our games after meeting his brother when on holiday.

New Kit - when will we be able to order?

Anyone have an idea of when the new shirts will be orderable?

I have a look in previous years and it seems to have varied widely from May/June right up to the pretty much the start of August.

Re: Purver to Scarborough

It wouldn't though would it. The usual suspects would have whined on about it regardless.

I'm not saying the club shouldn't have said something, but similarly it really isn't the end of the world. And it certainly isn't hysteria.

I see Bury and Bury AFC have had a second vote and agreed to merge. Sounds like a happier ending?

He also owns 51% of his local football club, Droitwich Spa according to his website - https://www.davidstockdale13.co.uk/

Good to have him involved with us too though. His contacts will be great you would imagine.

Re: So Faverdale or Skerningham

Is a 4G pitch on a building site really going to generate a lot of income? If it’s at Skerningham especially… too far from everything. I suppose Faverdale the nearest one is Hunmersknott. No it wouldn't generate substantial profit. The town is saturated already with 4G pitches and 5 a side leagues ...

All this talk about re-born clubs, football shares and phoenix clubs reminds me of Trigger on Only Fools and Horses.

He says he had the same broom for 20 years. It's had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in its time....

Thompson received an offer he "felt that he could not turn down" according to Holloway in this evening's net-cafe. Make of that what you will. I thought he turned down a very similar offer from us........ Perhaps he said that there was ‘nothing’ different. Or rather there was an extra 0 difference!...

I think we had a midfielder called Mike Robinson who never played again.

If it is the same one he was called Neil Robinson and I see to recall he was a vegan, so didn’t wear leather football boots. Isn’t it odd the things you remember (assuming I’m right of course).
