Re: National League North odds for 2016-17

I don't think mid table would be a cracking season after winning the Evostik Premier last season, I think mid table would be an OK, alright season. A cracking season would be top 5. I get your point about all of the clubs in this league who we can all identify with, and just the names themselves su...

Re: Work at Blackwell Meadows

The assumption is that Singh had the football share. Maybe he didn't? Singh did have the football share Neil, and he agreed to hand it over as part of the deal to buy the club. He then changed his mind the evening before everything was due to be signed with the administrator asking for additional t...

The Inland Revenue never had anything to do with the club during that period, Robbie, certainly as far as I was aware and I probably should know something about it. The forecast for crowds in that initial period was set at a number, and revised as regularly as possible I seem to recall, as crowds di...

Re: New signing

Having learnt today what Hardy cost then doesn't surprise me. We obviously aren't fussed we have a deficit and continuing to blow money on transfer fees at this level. Then it will be up to the fans to plug the hole. Crazy The club have said the transfer was cost neutral. Who would you rather belie...

Re: Front page news

Think the reason the NPL refuse to explain their decision or give us a points deduction was because it was their mistake that allowed Bell to play as many games as he did. If their officials had done their job properly his lack of clearance would have been discovered after 1 or 2 matches. As it was...

Re: Points deduction suspended until end of the season

We clearly broke the rules, but I wonder if the leniency shown to us has anything to do with the fact that the NPL also possibly failed to follow their own registration procedures correctly (i.e. double check registrations?). They could hardly fine themselves so maybe they were more lenient on us? ...

Re: mr upshall,Dubai

We need somewhere in the middle of fan and businessman. These cash-calls on the fans will get more frequent, and I'm not sure sponsorship is something you can rely on too much with our track record. Couldn't agree more. Volunteers are really important, but someone is needed to knit things together ...

Re: mr upshall,Dubai

TFDM is right. We need to get back to town and then get local business on board via sponsorship. That is the only help we need to take the club forward. What we don't need is grandiose schemes from individuals. We have been there and look where it got us - in the Northern League and homeless. A mod...

Does anyone have a programme from last Saturday's FA Trophy game they have read that they would be happy to sell ? Got there just on kick off and the print run had all sold out.

They won't. Timescales aren't on our side with that one unfortunately.

More likely that time will run out on Darlington Rugby Football Club and something happens at Blackwell, than time will run out on Mowden Park at the Arena.

I think this is going to drag on for years and hold the club back, and then we'll eventually end up back at the Arena anyway.

So stop wasting time and dial A now.

Purewell apart; the whole squad may be up to full match fitness for the first cup game. In which case a Spennymoor tie would be best for the coffers and a good check on the team's strength for the season. Odds of course would favour us being drawn against a team with far lower attendences. Sorry Ne...

This Blackwell Meadows thing is concerning me. It's like bickering about the wedding arrangements before a marriage date is even set. And where will we be in 7 or 8 years time? Stuck in an unhappy marriage of convenience, with limited options? And sharing a pitch? Personally I can't see us ever ret...

Right back position when Brown goes is an ongoing question, thought Kitchen (1s half) didn't stand out, Staunch (2nd half) done ok and certainly worth a further look. Can Burgess fill in at RB with White and Hunter at CB. I thought the throw ins that Kitchen took in the first half were very useful,...
