Re: Enjoyable Read

Interesting, thanks. I hadn't realised that the supporters had paid for the floodlights and Tin Shed roof, just like current times. Made me sad to see Feethams and the six year old stand being left behind. That was criminal.

Re: North West based Darlington fans

I've rarely seen Darlington at home but get to most games over this side of the Pennines (it's a standing joke with some Darlo regulars who almost fell over when I appeared at Blackwell). In the past I've been to Yeovil, Bournemouth and Aldershot but I now I tend to just attend NW games so I'm out. ...

Re: Playoffs

"Bees swarm all over Yeovil " says the Vanarama site. I don't think so! The highlights are worth a watch. That was a trek back in the day but a decent ground.

Re: C'mon Darlo Face Masks

Pete, we speak loud and proud about Darlington over here. All my mates check the results and I reckon at least 30 family and friends have been to games with us over the years. Some funny looks in the local on our way home from games though.

Re: C'mon Darlo Face Masks

Well our club ones (and all the profit will be ours) are £6.50 each if you get a two pack. I'd like a six pack too but that won't happen!

Just ordered a two pack. I'm sure I'll get some strange looks in the local Tesco. Reminded me to order a polo shirt too.

Re: Nicky Hunt

Looking really positive, a very experienced CB, just what we've been hoping for. With a big, young CF added to an already decent squad it makes me very hopeful for the new season, whenever that is. Just a quality keeper required now!

Re: Sports village

I find that astonishing! When there was discussion about Craig's post and the cost I had no idea that half of every sign funding would disappear elsewhere. Whoever sorted that agreement from the rugby club was a genius.

Their not there. As in seeing, not seen and being, not been. My English teacher would be so upset.

Well after the Spenny away game their players and /or officials were at it on the pitch, outside the match officials room and in the car park! £1400 fine.

That sent me looking (like you do) and ended up having a read of FA charges of which there are many. No wonder they have so much money! Even our own Mr Armstrong is looking at a three game touchline ban and a £300 fine for alleged insulting/abusive behaviour after the home Guiseley match. He had unt...

Re: Next season’s captain

Gramps isn't this one of your famous "strawman" arguments where you twist everything to suit you? If Ed says he's not Ted then fair enough. He's given enough counter points to refute what you say including that he's not on Facebook and never worked in hospitality. Unless you know him personally you ...

This is becoming tedious and completely off topic. I'm a bit disappointed in you Gramps as you're usually the first to ask for proof and facts and whilst I don't always agree with you I'll admit you have a penchant for intelligent argument. It feels a little like playground name calling.

I've not looked here for a while but going back to The clash of codes a car load of us travelled down the M6 the day of Bath v Wigan in Darlington colours. The services were full of Wigan fans who all thought we were Bath supporters!

Spen, I hope you've been advising Kings Lynn as fully as you do us? You must have loads of time on your hands to be here, at Kings Lynn, reading and sharing obscure Boston tweets. How's the Spennymoor fundraising going? Please find time to update us.
