Re: Home Kit Vote

When I said predominantly I was talking more about the number of kits rather than the length of time each incarnation was worn! I'm currently catching some of Saints v Shrews and their rather nifty sash replacing the usual stripes.

Re: Home Kit Vote

Without seeing a full breakdown of the figures I'm not sure that 1800 isn't voting across all the shirt votes and not just the final? I suppose half of the eligible voters not voting perhaps indicates some of us have other priorities at the moment. If we're running away with the league I don't care ...

Re: Home Kit Vote

I've been busy selling my loft contents in eBay whilst the debate has filled five pages. I think it's quite something that the fans get to vote for the shirt design and I feel an open vote may have been abused. Citeh and Palace looked quite fetching in a sash style shirt and I'm not sure the history...

Re: FA Trophy travel fund raising Weymouth

I can't remember hearing of any team not reaching a ground because of adverse weather conditions? I can, however remember hearing of a club that had a snowy weather forecast, a perfect pitch (amongst the best in Europe apparently), fantastic pitch covers for any adverse weather, professionally train...

The only benefit was Farsley getting some money from the stream. Awful second half. That omegastone advert behind the goal was MASSIVE!

Re: Farsley coverage

For a fiver I didn't expect Sky style coverage and apart from the poor camera angle, part of the pitch hidden behind the tunnel mesh, some celluloid terminator type moments, no commentary (and I can't do the darlo fans radio as it's miles out) it's been okay! Made me realise how very professional Qu...

It's been quite frosty over here this week but milder today and the Southport relatives say it's snowing a bit but not sticking.

Re: Shorter games ?

Don't agree, there have always been technically gifted players but they are, I'm sure fitter now. Some of us will remember the dreadful surfaces they played on, so energy draining and only one substitute. Gerry Byrne played the 65 cup final with a broken collar bone. Real tough players abounded and t...

Re: New kit manufacturer

I'm usually a L or XL but some of my cycling gear is 4 or 5 XL! No-one sees the size unless your planning to wear it inside out. Maybe there's a plan for a reversible kit like the England shirt about 25 years ago. Honestly....

Re: Spennymoor away

The reason York and Harrogate fans didn't post is surely because they have their own forums (or fora) to post on? Mind you, if you can't clear snow to get a match on you won't find time to develop your own forum.

Re: Spennymoor away

With your expertise in Arctic conditions I'm surprised they didn't ask you to prepare for the game appropriately. I suppose when you boast about a European quality pitch (new), very expensive frost and snow resistant covers, highly trained snow removal personnel and a fantastic support I'd expect a ...

I think Pete has a fir cone on the back step. They must be confident about the game going ahead as there's no mention of it on their Twitter feed. I'm not buying the match til later though!

It must be great having an individual who can put a seven figure sum into your club. The goal area cover alone is at least £500!

I'm sure it helps to have played professionally but it didn't stop Gerard Houllier (also a teacher), cup treble in 2000/1 or Carlos Alberto Parreira, Brazil World Cup 1994, doing a decent job!

So just to sum up, their average paying attendance is 903, heavily bolstered by big away followings from Darlington and York and despite Polarbear's denial it's there in print that Brad has put a "seven figure sum" into the club?
