Re: Be sure to get a ticket

Pete we are a fan owned club why on earth would we want to exploit our loyal fans and deter potential new fans by raising prices. Are you deliberately trying to wind people up or are you really that dense Usually he is trying to wind people up. Of course we couldn’t raise prices anyway as they were...

Presume the Rugby Club couldn't move us to Sunday, we couldn't play Friday so the only option was that they play on the back pitch.
I’m sure that will go down well with the Rugby Club.

Re: 2nd Round

Generally when you are looking forward it is something you are emotionally investing in to the point where if it didn't come to pass you would be gutted...frankly that is not how I feel about Oxford as a prospect. No it isn’t. It may be your definition but it’s not everyone else’s. From the reactio...

Home to Oxford if we win

Good draw that. If we get through it's a big home game. If we don't get through the replay, it's not going to be devestating like missing out on Sunderland would have been! Most frustrating replay was the homw to peterbrough game when we had Newcastle in the next round. 2 missed penalties by Conlon...

Re: 2nd Round

I think you are missing my tone completely...I'm really positive especially about next Wednesday it is really rare that you can go into a game just wanting to enjoy the occasion and we will have had two in quick succession. Forgive me but you said: “Meh, not that much to look forward to.” I’m not m...

Re: 2nd Round

We’ve spent years playing non-league opposition, so the playing league teams competitively for the first time in nearly a decade is definitely something to look forward to. I get the point that sides like Walsall and Oxford aren’t the most glamorous, but then again outside of a handful of ex-PL club...

Yep, with the third round just one (well two) wins away, a home tie against lower ranked opposition would be ideal.

It also says we haven’t been in the 2nd round since 2006, which is also incorrect. We played York in Round Two in 2010.

Re: Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

As for the game - wow. Utterly bonkers. I’ve not celebrated like that since the Spennymoor play-off. The least we deserved was a replay, although the number of chances Walsall wasted was ridiculous. You could see the equaliser coming, we just didn’t have an outlet at all and the ball kept coming st...

Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

Replay is definitely a week on Wednesday - the 20th. Club have said this previously and it’s in the Walsall programme too.

FlashScores is crap - had Jarrett Rivers as the scorer of the second.

Another major blow

Alun Armstrong is named National League North manager of the month for October.

Means the dreaded curse is heading our way. Congrats to Walsall on reaching round two.

The man himself tweeted “Signed, sealed, delivered, bring on Saturday’s FA Cup game”.

The club have said the news will be confirmed this lunchtime.

Cock. We’ve long since established he’s not actually a Darlo fan. It’s a Spenny or Poolie fan on the wind up so I wouldn’t worry. Gramps, not twisting as you say ,just saying bad timing from boro yes he's there player and yes they can call him back i don't like the timing of the recall that's all there is to it. He's need due to injury crisis end of. None of us do, but like I say it’s tough luck. We’ve done it to other clubs ...

Re: O'Neill recalled

Donawa to start for me,why recall now with the biggest game for us coming up for a long time as he's cup tied makes sense to let him play for us at least another couple of weeks. Boro have an injury crisis so he’s needed for cover. He’s their player so they can do what they like. The fact we’re pla...

Re: Walsall V Darlington FA Cup First Round Proper

Agree with all the above. We shouldn’t be looking to change a formula that’s worked so definitely keep three in midfield.

If Thompson is to come in, I’d maybe look at swapping him for Rivers, but I think Armstrong would keep things as they are.

Depends if you’re happy with 13th/14th place or not. We all want the club to finish as high as possible but we also have to be sensible with what we spend money on too. Elliott is not a bad keeper but Connell is better on what we have seen. However the deal has to be right for the club and we cant ...

Pretending you're on the fence about something when you've already made your mind up is dishonest... not that difficult. Where did I say I was sitting on the fence? I’m very much on the conservative side of the fence when it comes to a choice between them and Corbyns labour. I’m also interested in ...
