Re: FA Cup TV Details
It may be something that everyone knows but just in case, BBC red button is channel 601 on freeview. Starts at 1.20pm. Think we have a chance to pull this one off and into the next round. "Up the Quakers" Also Channel 981 on Sky (unhelpfully described as "BBC RB1"), it's on the Schedule Thanks for ...

He wasn't the worst manager we've had & not the best but as he lasted over 3 years I wonder how many mangers following him lasted longer than Madden. I'm assuming Hodgson & Gray did, but not even Little, Penney or Knowles lasted that long. Billy Elliott was manager from June 1979 to June 1983. What...

Re: Former players
Sorry Clive Natrrass or Neil Hague would definitely not be anywhere near my best eleven. A really classy defender I remember from the 1970s is John Stone who came from York City. Also must mention Barry Lyons who was an excellent midfielder in the 1970s and also came from York. My memory of Clive N...

Re: League restructure
I don't really know if there is an easy answer. If you make the Northern Premier League go straight into Conference North you give step 3 Northern sides a 1 in 12 chance of getting to Step 2 whilst giving the rest of the county a 1 in 36 chance - not sure that will be interpreted as fair. There isn...

Also, we've repeatedly shown we can compete with full time teams in individual games. Taken over the course of a season we may not be able to maintain the standards we set in some of those, and we may be relegated again, but we wouldn't be embarrassed by any stretch. Of course we should aim to go u...

At least Alty fans will only have to pay £10 when they return to The Field. Spennymoor surcharges other visiting Co. Durham fans 40% - £14 for the visit of Darlo and Gateshead but back to £10 for everyone else.

Not seen it mentioned earlier - their manager is ex-Poolie Darren Clarke who brought his Salisbury side to the Arena in the FA Trophy Quarter Finals in our FA Trophy Winning season 2010/11. He was open about how he would use his Poolie contacts to get inside information for the match.

Re: FA CUP FIRST ROUND
There's a great stat in Craig Stoddart's Echo report; this is the first year that Darlo have won 3 FA Cup ties since 1988/9. That year we had three home draws and saw off Runcorn 4-2, Northwich 6-2 and Halifax Town 3-0 (featuring Les McJannet's classy backheeled goal). What makes this year's run all...

Great performance today, that is after the first half hour when Leamington were on top and missed a few chances. New keeper was MoM for me. As a southern based fan who has seen the Darlo games at Leamington for the past three seasons, today's team were a step up from our previous two unbeaten visits...

Anybody seen Darlo play twice in two days? I remember two away games in two days at the end of the 85-86 season. Derby and Brentford I think, both defeats? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Brentford (a) 5th May 1986 (lost 2-1) then Notts County (a) 6th May (lost that one 5-0). Line up v Notts was...

Re: Teams in National League North for next season
Isn't there a rule that you don't have to move divisions within 3 years of your last move? Worcester were given such an exemption preventing them being moved back to the North a few years ago. Gloucester went from North to South in 2017-18, so they might be within their rights to refuse to move. Gl...

Coming from 2 down at home to Hartlepool to win 5-2. McClean in the tin shed end before half time then 4 from Alan Walsh in the Polam end in the second half. About 1981 I think. Also coming from 3-1 down at Salford to win 4-3 has got to be worth a shout. The Pools 5-2 was the first one coming to mi...

Moved again. Semis tomorrow, final Monday. By my reckoning that's the fourth different set of dates. And Stourbridge have had to cede home advantage in the semis. Indeed - Stourbridge finished 3rd so were at home in the playoffs, but because of 4 days of faffing around by the Southern League and FA...
